If you don't already have a website, here's why you need one:

1️⃣ It makes it easier for potential customers to find you when searching for local businesses online (e.g. on Google).

2️⃣ It's like a digital brochure and allows you to showcase your products and services in an easy-to-digest manner.

3️⃣ You have control over your website. A website is considered 'owned media' as you are not so much at the mercy of anyone else changing the rules, or the algorithm.

4️⃣ A website is like a digital shopfront. It's a way to build or reinforce trust when people are making a purchasing decision.

5️⃣ You can run ads from almost any other media source and direct them to your website.

If you don't have a website, some people might wonder if your business even exists. 😝

If you want to start the new year with a new website comment "I'm interested" to get more information.

I absolutely loved working on this project with Roberts Builders Pty Ltd. Take a moment to check out their new website www.robertsbuilders.com.au

Navigating the entrepreneurial journey? Here are 3 game-changing tips to conquer small business struggles:

1. Embrace change, it's a sign of growth.
Change can be intimidating, but it often signifies progress and evolution. Embracing it allows you to be the best version of you, as well as adapt to market trends, and foster a culture of innovation within your business.

2. Build a strong support network.
Surrounding yourself with a reliable support network of fellow business owners, mentors, and industry professionals is invaluable. This network not only provides emotional support during challenging times but also offers diverse perspectives and insights that can contribute to better decision-making.

3. Learn from setbacks; they're lessons in disguise.
Setbacks are not failures but rather opportunities for growth and improvement. Each challenge presents a chance to learn, adapt, and refine strategies. Embracing setbacks as lessons in disguise fosters resilience and a forward-thinking mindset, essential for long-term success in your business.

🖋️Small business end-of-year exercise - Part two🖋️

Let's do some further reflection to help you plan a successful 2024. Grab a notebook and pen or the notes section on your phone and write down answers to these questions.

💫What's one thing I could do in 2024 to make my business even better?

💫What's something I'm currently doing that is not really making a difference in my business?

💫What would I like to start doing in 2024?

💫What do I need help with?

💫Which tasks or jobs can I give to someone else to complete?

💫Which tasks or jobs don't need to be done at all?

Amidst the busyness of the Christmas holidays, make time for moments of joy, rest and renewal. Use this season to recharge, reflect, envision, and plan for the year ahead. Your business deserves the gift of a well-thought-out direction.

Let's take the time to reflect on 2023. What are you grateful for in your business journey this year?

I'll start.
1️⃣ I'm grateful for the huge learning curve I've experienced throughout the years I've had my own business. It is one thing to know how to market someone else's business, but it is a whole other thing to have your own business and experience the mindset challenges that accompany it when your service is you.

2️⃣ I'm grateful for my sister and for letting me live with them which allowed me to relocate to the Gold Coast earlier this year and the amazing bond I've been able to build with my niece and nephew as a result.

3️⃣ I'm grateful that I get to wake up every day and look forward to my day. From my morning stretches, journaling and audiobook snippets at the beach to coming home and working on client projects or on my business.

In the spirit of giving, present yourself with the most precious gift — a clear goal. If you aim for nothing, you will achieve nothing. Define what you really want, write it down and take action. Never mind what others think is right or possible. What do YOU want? Your journey starts with the gift of clarity.

Where are your doubts holding you back today, and preventing you from working towards achieving your dreams for tomorrow? We sometimes call them limiting beliefs and we often call it imposter syndrome but either way, if you let the inner critic tell you that you're not good enough, not experienced enough, not [insert other negative self-talk here] enough, the doubt will win over your dreams.

Reflecting on the wisdom of Franklin D. Roosevelt: 'The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today.' It's time to ignore the doubt and do it anyway.

Three questions for self-reflection and growth inspired by Sheryl Sanberg's quote from the book 'Lean In'.

1️⃣ Where in your business or life are you holding back?

2️⃣ In what areas are you lacking self-confidence or feeling imposter syndrome kicking in?

3️⃣ Where are you pulling back when you should be leaning in?

Let's break free from those barriers and move towards the direction of your goals!

Do you feel like you are drowning in the challenges of your business? Here are 4 tools to help keep you afloat:

1️⃣ Journal. Journalling helps remove the brain clutter that is sometimes swirling around in your head. As you start to get coached and you become more familiar with journalling you will be able to start asking yourself questions to self-coach. Journalling and ‘self-coaching’ don’t replace coaching for me because others can usually help lead us to a place we couldn’t get to on our own, but journalling certainly complements it.

2️⃣ Meditate. Another way to help remove the brain clutter. Especially good to do at the start of your day so you’re not carrying any negative thoughts from the previous day into today.

3️⃣ Exercise. Don’t neglect self-care for the hustle. A daily walk or regular exercise you enjoy will help keep you mentally resilient in what can be a very trying time.

4️⃣ Get enough sleep. Don’t underestimate the power of getting enough sleep. Go to bed earlier and listen to a sleep podcast if you have trouble falling asleep. I listen to 'Nothing Much Happens' Stories for sleep and relaxation but there are plenty out there. Search sleep stories or bedtime stories on your favourite podcast app and choose the narrator that you enjoy listening to most and the one that puts you to sleep.
