Agile Early Learning Centre recently celebrated Thank a First Responder Day with a special visit from their local firefighters, giving children the opportunity to learn about the important role first responders play in keeping our communities safe.

To extend the experience, the team also incorporated a fire drill, helping children build confidence and develop an understanding of emergency procedures in a safe and supportive environment. Experiences like these foster community connections while equipping children with practical knowledge and essential safety skills.

It’s wonderful to see meaningful community partnerships enriching children’s learning and supporting their wellbeing.

Agile Early Learning Centre have been supporting their Kindy children to develop important road and carpark safety skills through hands-on, real-world learning experiences. Guided by their educators, the children practised safe walking, stopping to check for cars, using their listening skills and staying together as a group.

By embedding everyday safety education into the learning program, children build confidence, awareness and lifelong habits that help them navigate their community safely. It’s wonderful to see practical learning experiences like these supporting children’s wellbeing and independence is something we’re proud to support across centres within The Scholars Group.
