Great insights shared last week at the Gold Coast Referral Group, where a panel of experienced property professionals discussed key factors in presenting properties to the market.
The panel featured Presenter Kyle from Your Auto Agency, Real Estate Agent Campbell Moore Real Estate Agent, Buyer’s Agent Buygc Buyers Agents, Property Manager Kellie Morris from Drift Property Management, and Commercial Real Estate Agent Julie Wattam from Ridgeline Commercial Realty.
A clear takeaway from the discussion was the importance of first impressions and overall presentation. Whether selling or leasing—residential or commercial—how a property looks from the outset can significantly influence outcomes.
For sales, a well-presented property can enhance perceived value and show buyers that the property has been well cared for. For leasing, strong presentation helps attract the right tenants and supports long-term tenancies.
We’ve had the opportunity to assist these professionals in preparing their vendors’ properties, helping ensure they’re presented at their best.

Today we had Kyle Alexander run a panel of “wisdom and knowledge” in the property field.
We had:
Campbell Moore - Campbell Moore Real Estate Agent at Coastal who has 30 years experience in real estate sales. Campbell is also an auctioneer and in this hot property market, Campbell does recommend if you’re selling that you take your property to auction. Campbell also said that “first impressions count” so if you are looking to sell it is important to present the property in the best light possible. Campbell said if you’re looking to sell a property in this market, you do need a highly experienced agent who is familiar with dealing in multi buyer situations.
Kellie Morris - of Drift Property Management who has 24 years experience in property management. Kellie explained that the rental market can be quite tricky at the moment, with so many people moving to the Gold Coast plus a lot of changes in legislation. Kellie said it is very important to use a rental agent that is proactive, great with communication and understands the legislation changes. Kellie takes pride in getting back to the potential tenants and making sure they are able to view her upcoming properties as soon as possible.
Julie Wattam - Ridgeline Commercial Realty, who is a highly experienced agent specialising in leasing, sales and management in the “Commercial Real Estate” space. Ridgeline has been helping clients on the Gold Coast since 2008. Julie explained that in the last 5 years the commercial space has changed quite a lot. Julie discussed how rents have changed quite a bit and have become more affordable for business owners plus changes in legislation has changed the commercial rental market. Julie explained that is is vital to get the right tenant , the right place and the right time so that the tenant wants to stay.
Gavin Henry - Buygc Buyers Agents who has been involved in property for many years across a range of fields and extremely knowledgable. Gavin is a buyers agent who helps people buy properties on the Gold Coast (which can be a tricky space at the moment). Gavin said that technology has changed the property buyers space a lot in the last few years, as buyers are able to find out more information than ever before on properties they are looking to buy, areas etc. Gavin is able to find properties off market so that you are not competing with a LOT of other buyers.
