☕️Cups & Connections at Palm Beach Surf Club on Wednesday by Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce was such a fabulous, interactive and informative event. Great way to connect with businesses in a more casual setting!

🎤The open dialogue panel discussion by Cr Gail O’Neill and Cr Josh Martin and Hermann Vorster MP was interesting and provided different views about issues that matter to Southern businesses and locals in Gold Coast Southern region. 🏄‍♂️🚟🚆🚧🚗🌴🌞

So good to meet specialist HR consultants and Recruiters doing so really impactful work across Southeast QLD!

💡Did you know in the lead up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games that 1000 contractors will be needed to deliver infrastructure and services throughout QLD?

🏝️This will also create many new employment opportunities in Southeast - Brisbane - Gold Coast - Sunshine Coast- all the way up to Cairns!

This morning I had the pleasure of attending the Meet The Buyer Gold Coast at . Interesting insights into understanding the procurement process and start mapping out business capability in relation to demand for services leading up to Brisbane 2032 Games.

🏆I always knew I was a Master Connector. Receiving this recognition at the annual BNI Awards at on the weekend was wonderful!

🌟Saturdays Awards mixed business and pleasure and allowed some time to reflect and celebrate all the great things happening within the business community in the Gold Coast & Tweed Shire communities.

💛I LoVe running my own business as I get to recruit for and interact with a diverse mix of commercial businesses, and the privilege of being a part of communities like BNI, that offers collaboration with likeminded business people!

Thanks for the warm welcome by Women in Tourism Gold Coast and the opportunity to also donate a raffle prize to support such a wonderful Charity the that supports children affected by DV homicide.

Some of the key takeaways from the panel discussion were:
⭐ Leadership isn't just about leading and managing people
⭐ Having empathy and giving your team and employees space to discuss, vent and also be part of the solution is the key to cohesive teams that trust one another
⭐ Trust both ways is necessary to build connection and empower teams to step up and grow their capabilities

As always I thoroughly enjoyed the lively conversations over multiple cups of coffee and the connections that I'd love to have further discussions with! ☕
