It is important to take ownership and responsibility for one's life and future. If we do not take control of our own lives and make deliberate choices to achieve our goals, then we may be at the mercy of others who are making decisions for us.

If we do not actively shape our own destiny, someone else will shape it for us. This could mean allowing external factors such as workplace culture to dictate our actions and decisions, or simply drifting through life without a clear purpose or direction.
