How to Develop your personal Visa Strategy to enter Australia?
(just some thoughts about our experience, not an official advice)
Recently, during the visa strategy discussion with one of the clients we paid attention to an important nuance related to the definition of a successful visa strategy. The nuance is that according to the law, no one other than the certificated MARA agents has the right to give you advice concerning visa issue, but MARA agents themselves may advise you only a concrete way of obtaining a visa and have no right to provide you with the general strategy of obtaining a visa.
The fact is that more often, the ordinary person is concerned in the question posed in “everyday” form - how do I get a visa to Australia or how can I move to live in Australia?
It is meaningless to ask the agency such a question; they cannot answer it. They do not even have the right to choose the most advantageous visa options for you - all that a law-abiding agent can do is to ask you why do you need to go to Australia, can advise you a visa type that meets your task and can help in obtaining it.
After all, it is clear that the aim can be achieved in different ways. Sometimes it is profitable to use a business visa, sometimes a student one and, in fact, they meet the same purpose - to enter Australia. The disappointment of communicating with agents is often associated with it. I remember our experience when we were trying to find a way of entering Australia following business purposes, but agents answered only some of the questions without offering the possibility to solve the problem in a complex, they just do not have the right to advise you to try different methods and treatments of your situation.
When we groped our way of obtaining a visa and began to ask right direct questions to the agency - it set the wheels in motion, and we quickly received the needed result.
In fact, like anything in Australia, such system is quite logical and works correctly. After all, a qualified agent can easily present the case in such a way as to get a visa for you, even if initially this possibility is limited due to certain features that to a large extent do not meet the country interests.
Some agents choose this way because it gives them the influx of clients. Some of them are afraid of license deprivation and refuse to answer the “slippery” questions.
All this, of course, does not ease the simple inhabitant‘s life. To make the best visa strategy for yourself, communicate with several people who have already passed this way and can tell you about their experience.
They will express their considerations, whether their way fits you or not, and what would they do in your place. Only then, you can move on to the agency (of course, better according to recommendations, possibly from the same people) and ask specific questions about your case.
