Mental Health Levy

From 1 January 2023, a mental health levy will apply to fund mental health and associated services.

The levy will:

apply to employers and groups of employers who pay more than $10 million in annual Australian taxable wages
be applied to your Queensland taxable wages
be calculated as part of your payroll tax returns.

The date has been set - existing company directors will now be required to apply for a director identification number (director ID) by 30 November 2022.

Failure to do so could incur fines of over $1.1 million kick in for non-compliance. Read more here:

All directors of a company, registered Australian body, registered foreign company or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporation will need a director identification number (director ID).
