Years ago, significant efforts were made to introduce stronger laser regulations to improve safety and protect both practitioners and consumers. Despite widespread support, misinformation created confusion, and ultimately the proposed changes were halted before they could be implemented.

It's a reminder that progress is not always straightforward. Behind every advancement in education, safety and professional standards are people willing to advocate, challenge and persist and even when the outcome isn't guaranteed.

Sometimes the battles that don't succeed still shape the future.
