Hi guys,

This is our last opportunity to appeal in the supreme court for WA.

Unfortunately these cases take a lot of my time and we have to chip in a lot of money as well from our end on top of the donations from the community.

If I can get a heap of comments showing support on this post then I will lodge another appeal in WA.

If not, unfortunately we will have to let it go.

TI win this is important and can pave the way for some wind in other states as these are supreme court rulings.

Please comment that you will support the cause below and we can see if the WA community can take this to the next level.

Hi guys,

Unfortunately we lost our court battle in WA today. The judge did not agree with our argument.

The issue is that it’s a one way street and it seems the government always win in the end. They have endless resources.

There is an opportunity for us to appeal but it would take another round of fund raising from the community and judging by the last go fund me, tactical edge would be footing most of the bill again.

I will do a post today outlining which retailers actually contributed to the fight in WA. It wasn’t many that is for sure and I emailed all of them asking for help.

So depending on what the response from the public is, we can go to an appeal.

Good afternoon Gel blaster community,

Sorry for the delay in getting you guys up to date on what happened in WA.

At this point in time there is no result. Apparently the judge was split down the middle 50/50 and needed to go away and have a think about it.

There is no doubt our argument was a good one.

All we can do is hope that the judge see some sense and that we come out of this with another win.

No matter how hard I pressed the lawyer he could not say anything other than “it is 50/50” so we really don’t know which way the coin will fall.

It is a bit sad that it comes to this over toy guns.

As soon as I have an answer I will announce it, win or lose. Although, the lawyer said that sometimes, it can take months to get an answer.

Hi Gel ballers,

Just so everyone knows, the lawyers have entered the court house and the case is being heard as we speak.

We think the chances of a win are pretty good and we believe the judge will see sense.

Of course you can never be certain, especially when it comes to gel blaster. Especially in Western Australia which is where this case is taking place.

Hopefully we have another win!!

Hi guys,

So it has happened. The WA police have lodged an appeal to the decision in the magistrates court. They did it on the last day mind you.

So we are going to the Supreme Court from here. I will need to get help for costs on this one so I will talk to Chris and get a go fund me set up.

We want to make a big fuss about what is going on here so if any of you guys know anyone in the media over there can you please contact them and start making it known just how bad this has become.

I will keep you updated as this progresses.

Hi gel blaster community,

I will be announcing what happened with the verdict in the WA case on Monday afternoon at 3:00pm on the Tactical Edge page.

I just have to get my head around what I am allowed to say and what I am not allowed to say.

Also will be looking at going over the legal argument and trying to explain what it is and what it means.

Court case was yesterday. The verdict will be handed down on the 10th of March.

Hi guys,

Sorry for the radio silence over the past few months. There really has been nothing to report.

Today is a bit different, I am allowed to say that we have an active case in WA at the moment and it will be heard before the end of the month.

I can understand why the police and government have found it so easy to strip things away from the public. The system of recourse is unbearably slow and prohibitively expensive.

If you have a grievance with the government there is little you can do other than spend a fortune and wait a ridiculous amount of time.

Either way, the case will be heard in the coming weeks and the outcome will either be a positive one, in which case the crown will appeal… or a negative one in which case we will appeal.

Either way there is no light at the end of the tunnel at this point.

Unfortunately I can’t give any details of the case at all. Other than it is coming up.

I will endeavour to answer your Questions if you post them below but be aware that I can’t give specifics.
