Last week we took Fleks on the road! ✈️

We headed to Sydney for FWACon 2026 — Australia's flexible workspace industry conference — joining operators from across the country (and beyond) to talk about the future of coworking.

The biggest takeaway? It's something we've believed since day one: a coworking space isn't about square metres or fancy fit-outs. It's about the people in it — the connections, the conversations, the community. That's the real magic, whether you're in the Sydney C*D or right here in Burleigh. 🌊

We also toured some incredible Sydney spaces for inspiration — premium C*D offices, coworking blended with showrooms, warehouses, even a factory floor. So many ideas came home with us.

Just back from in Brisbane - our first venture out of the Burleigh "bubble" and what an eye-opener! 🌟

The Flexible Workspace Australia conference reminded us why we love this industry. Coworking is revolutionising commercial real estate, shifting from traditional office models to hybrid, community-led spaces that actually meet how people work today.

What struck us most? The diversity - from capital cities to regional hubs, coworking comes in so many flavours, serving countless industries and communities. Since opening Fleks in 2018 (and surviving a pandemic!), we've been following our community's lead intuitively, and it was reassuring to see we're on the right track.

But the biggest takeaway? There's always more to learn. Sometimes the most obvious solutions are right there waiting to be discovered.

A big thanks to the FWA crew for organising this incredible event and convincing us we weren't too small to be a relevant participant (funny how your own perceptions can be limiting!). Also, a huge shout out to all the new coworking industry champions we met over these 2 days of immersion - you've inspired us beyond words.

Moving forward, we're excited to lean into both local and global coworking communities for inspiration, support, and collaboration, and why, you ask? So that we can continuously grow and improve what we offer at Fleks - because our community deserves the best workspace experience we can deliver.
