$7.825 million.

That is the maximum penalty a single company now faces under the new wage theft laws.
Individual directors can also be prosecuted. Personally.

Underpayment used to be a costly mistake. As of 2025, it is a criminal offence.

Three HR documents you cannot afford to be without.

Most SCHADS providers we audit are missing at least one. Often two. And the gap rarely shows up until you need them.

Corinne runs through what they are, why each one matters, and the specific risk if it is not in place.

"Practical, fast, and they actually understood our business."

Doesn't matter if you're trying to resolve messy employee challenges, ensure you're paying staff correctly, or crafting documentation that clearly sets out your expectations in line with the Award and Fair Work Act.

Five HR mistakes we see most often in our audits. None of them are particularly niche. All of them are very fixable.

Michelle runs through the five red flags that crop up week after week, and the one most providers genuinely do not realise is a problem.

If you haven't had an Industrial Relations specialist review your documentation in the last 12-18 months, now is the time.

57%. That is the share of Fair Work investigations that resulted in enforcement action last financial year.

One of the most common issues that causes non-compliance is Award misinterpretation. Not malice, not greed. Misreading or misapplying the rules.

There are some awards that have changed at least 3 times in the last 18 months alone. If your last interpretation review pre-dates 2025, you are not where you think you are.

Broken shifts under SCHADS.

Three rules most providers either do not know or apply inconsistently. Each one is a penalty risk on its own; together they shape an entire rostering pattern.

Corinne walks through what counts as a broken shift, when the allowance applies, and the trap that costs the most.

"Practical, fast, and they actually understood our business."

We supported this national retailer across multiple sites. Award complexity at scale. The kind of organisation where consistent, well documented award interpretation and application is critical to the operation.

Glad to be a part of the solution.
