🚨 FREE CARD ASSESSMENTS SAVED THIS COLLECTOR FROM A COSTLY MISTAKE 🚨

Most Pokémon collectors focus on the wrong things when deciding whether to grade a card.

At CollectFest we spent the day providing FREE card assessments and helping collectors understand what PSA actually looks for when grading.

A card can look perfect at first glance and still miss a PSA 10.

At the same time, some cards collectors write off completely can still have strong grading potential.

That’s why we always recommend assessing before submitting.

In this video we’re breaking down a customer’s card, looking at the edges, corners, centering and surface to determine whether it’s worth sending to PSA.

The reality is that grading isn’t guesswork. Understanding what defects matter and what defects don’t can save collectors hundreds or even thousands of dollars over time.

Whether you’re grading Pokémon cards, investing in sealed product, collecting vintage cards or chasing PSA 10s, knowing how to identify grading potential is one of the most valuable skills you can learn in the hobby.

👇 What grade would YOU give this card?

Comment your prediction before watching the full assessment.

Have you ever regretted a grading submission?

08/06/2026

Every day we see cards that owners believe have no chance at a strong grade. Then we assess them properly and discover a completely different story.

This is exactly why card assessment matters.

When we evaluate a card, we’re not just looking for scratches. We’re examining centering, corners, edges, surface quality, print defects, factory issues, eye appeal and how those factors work together under grading standards.

A tiny flaw doesn’t automatically mean a bad grade.

A clean looking card doesn’t automatically mean a PSA 10.

The biggest mistake collectors make is relying on hobby myths instead of understanding how grading companies actually assess cards.

That’s why we spend countless hours studying cards, grading outcomes and restoration potential to help collectors make smarter decisions before they spend money on grading.

Whether you’re collecting for nostalgia, investing, preserving a grail or chasing PSA 10s, understanding the assessment process can save you thousands of dollars and prevent costly mistakes.

At Gotta Fix Them All, every card starts with a thorough assessment because the right decision before grading is often more important than the grading submission itself.

What’s the biggest grading mistake you’ve ever made?

Episode 21: Gotta Crack Them All

Part 1/3 for BossLogic

05/06/2026

🚨 Most collectors would instantly write this card off because of the print line.

We didn’t.

And that’s exactly why understanding grading matters.

In this video, we break down a Celebration Pikachu with a visible print line and explain why flaws like this don’t always tell the full story.

Many collectors assume:

❌ Print line = PSA 9

But grading is rarely that simple.

PSA evaluates the entire card, including centering, corners, edges, surface quality and overall eye appeal.

The difference between a collector and an informed collector is understanding which flaws matter most and which flaws are often misunderstood.

That’s why we spend so much time educating collectors on grading standards, card preparation and spotting opportunities others miss.

Would YOU send this Celebration Pikachu to PSA?

🚨 Most collectors think a print line automatically means PSA 9.

But is that actually true?

In this video I show two real examples of Pokémon cards with visible print lines that still received PSA 10 grades from PSA.

First, a Pikachu ex Special Illustration Rare.

Then a Latias & Latios GX.

Both have print lines.

Both received PSA 10.

This is exactly why understanding Pokémon card grading is so important. Many collectors leave money on the table because they assume a single flaw automatically disqualifies a card from achieving a Gem Mint grade.

The reality is that PSA evaluates the card as a whole. Surface, centering, corners, edges and overall eye appeal all play a role in the final grade.

So before you write off a card in your collection, ask yourself:

Are you looking at it the same way PSA does?

Go check your binders and comment below how many print lines you find. You might be surprised how many cards still have grading potential.

Would YOU have graded these cards a PSA 10?
