I don’t often pause to share personal recognition, because my focus has always been on building, leading, and supporting others in this industry to grow with integrity.

But this one feels important to acknowledge.

At the Australian Small Business Champion Awards 2026, I was honoured to be named one of just 6 recipients nationally of the Champion Master Award, selected from over 8,500 businesses across Australia. 🏆

As the founder and director of Business Beyond Beauty and Temple Skincare & Spa, this recognition is not something I see as individual success... it reflects years of commitment to raising standards in skin health, business leadership, and the salon and spa industry.

More than anything, it reinforces what I have always believed: Excellence is not an accident. It is built through consistency, education, integrity, and care, for clients, for teams, and for the industry we are part of.

I’m incredibly grateful for this recognition, but even more grateful for the opportunity to continue contributing to an industry I care deeply about... and to the team, clients, and community who make BBB and Temple what it is every day. 🤍

💕 It’s bigger than us… Part of running a successful business means that we have the ability to pay it forward and help others around us.

Temple Skincare & Spa Owner/Director, Rene Herald, says “generosity and giving to others is one of my personal values. I currently volunteer at Kings Community Care where I live. This is a program that supports those in need and provides fresh food and groceries for the vulnerable and disadvantaged."

At In Acqua Veritas in the quiet countryside of Alentejo, we were given that rare permission to pause, exhale, and come back to ourselves.

Inspired by the wisdom of ancient Roman thermal rituals, this experience was more than beautiful, it was necessary.
🛁 Candlelit silence, steam rising from warm pools, and the grounding rhythm of moving from heat to cold to stillness.

As salon, spa, and wellness business owners, we’re often holding space for everyone else.
So when we get a rare moment to simply be in good company, in a beautiful setting, without roles or responsibilities it becomes something meaningful.

Our evening at Rocco Lisbon reminded us of that.
✨ Thoughtful interiors, soulful music, elevated Mediterranean flavours and no agenda, just presence.

We passed plates, laughed without watching the clock, and had conversations that had nothing to do with KPIs or client schedules, and everything to do with life, purpose, and joy.

Spaces like these, and nights like this, remind us why we do what we do.
