Meet Anna Dengate.

Anna runs The Vets North, providing veterinary consultancy services to clinics, and she’s also the founder of For the Love of Dogs Academy, a charity creating training and employment pathways for people with disabilities and other marginalised community members within the animal care sector.

In this conversation, Anna shares a simple but powerful idea:

“We don’t talk enough.”

Too often businesses work in isolation, solving the same problems, creating similar solutions, and missing opportunities to collaborate.

As Anna explains, we can often achieve far more by working together than by trying to do everything ourselves.

That spirit of collaboration is exactly what SUB - Northern Beaches is all about.

Bringing together business owners, professionals, charities, community leaders, and organisations to create conversations that lead somewhere.

Backing business, driving success, and connecting communities with real-world AI.

This panel brings together founders and strategists who work with AI in the trenches every day – from retail and online shopping, to SME websites and apps, to education, enterprise, and operational transformation.

You’ll hear from:

🔹 Kim Fernandez (Facilitator) – AI adoption strategist and co-founder of AI Collab, turning AI investment into measurable productivity and revenue outcomes for established businesses.

🔹 Philip John – Co-founder of Darevolution, making AI practical and human-centred across business, education, and enterprise, with a focus on capability building and ethical adoption.

🔹 Preeti Dey – Founder & CEO of SPOD Technologies, helping Australian SMEs move fast with AI-powered websites and apps, using a clear framework for where AI actually fits.

🔹 Raphael Gonzalez Rodriguez – CEO and co-founder of Flowganise, building for the next era of online retail as AI shoppers reshape how people buy.

Whether you're curious about AI, already experimenting with it, or looking for practical ways to apply it in your business, this is a conversation you won't want to miss.

“What excites me most is the passion behind it.”

At this week’s Stakeholders Day, we spoke with Chantal from Northern Beaches Youth Theatre about what stood out to her during the Stakeholder day.

For Chantal, it was the energy in the room.

The passion from the people involved. The number of businesses, community organisations, charities, and local leaders coming together. And the fact that many people who attended previous Summits have spoken the value of the event.

During the Stakeholder day She described the atmosphere as vibrant, welcoming, and full of people who genuinely care about collaboration and community.

That’s what SUB is all about.

Creating opportunities for businesses, community groups, charities, and local leaders to connect, collaborate, and help build a stronger Northern Beaches together.

Thank you, Chantal, for sharing your insights and for being part of the journey.

“This is where the ambition is. This is where the skills are.”

One of the standout moments from the Central Coast Suburban Business Summit was hearing David Abrahams from Central Coast News speak about the growing importance of suburban and peri-urban business communities across Australia.

The businesses, professionals, organisations, and leaders outside the CBD are driving real economic growth, innovation, and community impact.

That’s what Suburban Business Summit is designed to bring together.

SUB Northern Beaches will connect local business owners, councils, professionals, charities, sponsors, and community leaders for practical conversations, meaningful connections, and real opportunities within the local business ecosystem.
