We had such a great night last night for our Networking Night including the launch of the 2026 Gympie Business Awards at Rusty Rails Café! Delicious food, great conversations and connections around the room and lovely surroundings. Fran Caddell did a Q&A with two of our wonderful judges Adan Taylor and Justin Lippiatt with a huge thank you to our other two judges Sam Bradshaw and Michele Perrett (10 years judging this year!!) who were not able to attend last night. Congratulations!

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗔𝗜𝗠 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱 & 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲

For the first time in at least 25 years of our known school history, two of our ensembles – Concert Band and String Ensemble – have been selected to perform at the Regional FanFare Finals in Maryborough this Monday, 15 June (Week 9) at the Brogla Theatre.

FanFare is a prestigious regional bi-annual music event that we were proud to host here at James Nash SHS in Week 6. Following adjudication, our Concert Band and String Ensemble were selected to represent our school at the regional finals – an outstanding achievement for our students and staff.



Importantly, FanFare is not a competition between schools. Ensembles perform and are assessed against a set of musical criteria by an expert adjudicator. To be selected to perform alongside some of the most highly regarded school music programs across the Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay regions is a significant accomplishment and a testament to the dedication, hard work and musical excellence of our students.

We would love our school community to join us in wishing all participating students and staff the very best as they represent James Nash SHS on the regional stage. We are incredibly proud of you and look forward to celebrating your success!
