What a day!

Yesterday’s Western Trade Coast Industry Tour – Insights, Projects and Industry was officially sold out, and what a fantastic group of people to spend the day with!

One of the things we love most about these tours is the mix of attendees. Yesterday we welcomed people from , , , , the , consulting, and so many other sectors. It really shows that the Western Trade Coast touches far more industries than people realise.

Guided by Dr Chris Oughton, we explored the region from a completely different perspective. While I know what’s out there, I never get tired of seeing people’s reactions as they begin to understand the sheer scale of the Western Trade Coast and how everything connects.

One of the favourite moments was stopping at Barter Beach to look across to the future site… although I have to admit the racehorses training through the ocean almost stole the show! Add in perfect winter weather, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day.

We finished at the AMC Jakovich Function Centre with a fantastic networking lunch and two inspiring presentations.
A big thank you to Robert Engelhard from Scope Property Group for sharing his vision for the future of the Western Trade Coast and the opportunities that lie ahead. One comment that really sums Business up, was the difference between taking a gamble and taking a calculated risk and turning them into Opportunity.

It was also a pleasure to officially welcome three new Western Trade Coast Business Network members – Catalyst Central, Catalpa Charters and Workforce Abundance. Thank you for sharing your stories and becoming part of our growing community.

To everyone who joined us, thank you for making the day such a success. I hope you left with a few new connections, plenty of insights, and a completely different perspective on the Western Trade Coast.

Latest Energy News:

WA’s energy future is moving fast. But one big question still hangs over the conversation. If WA steps away from state-based emissions reduction targets, what does that actually mean for industry, investment and future projects? Whether it be Western Trade Coast, , or .

Does it create more certainty for major industry and energy players? Or does it create more questions around accountability, measurement and long-term direction?
