Last Saturday, as part of an exciting series of related workshops, Cass & Andrea were engaged to facilitate 5 x 1hr UG gallery experiences for registered participants from the group of 85 educators attending the 2-day Bowen Basin Bright Minds conference.
This passionate group was made up of primary & secondary school teachers, head of department (STEM), principals & vice principals from 18 schools across 4 local areas: Central Highlands, Isaac, Whitsunday, and Mackay.
Cass and Andrea both attended highschool in the Central Highlands & entered the industry as young women through both & operational pathways so it was pretty special for them to be able to share our knowledge & insight of the

Some great discussions were had with teachers about related and we genuinely appreciate the invaluable input & positive feedback we received regarding additional opprtunities for L&D programs that will add further value to both teachers and students.
The level of interest and engagement about the practical aspects of mining was awesome & by all reports, created a great connection between the learning and the doing.
Our team were so glad that we could help provide a clearer understanding of the diverse range of opportunities the industry has to offer so the group can take their new insight back to their schools to apply to their teaching & guidance around subject selection.
