Do you ever have the feeling “I’m not good enough”? 😩
How do you know it’s there, how does I’m not good enough show up for you?
I used to feel that way on many occasions. It would show up for me when someone achieved something, or was brave to do something different in their life. Don’t get me wrong, I was happy for them and their achievement, but there was a part of me that felt as though I don’t think I could do that, or achieve that, or put my hand up for something I wanted to do.
This meant that at times I felt unfulfilled in life, or I would overcompensate in areas I felt comfortable and load myself up doing things I didn’t really want to be doing.
You might not know this, but I started my own business 6 years ago. And, because of my ‘I’m not good enough’ belief, I haven’t been diligent in promoting my business. That said, the work that I have done around this issue has meant me being able to start my business and join a business networking group, and have grown my business through a great word of mouth referral system. However, although I’ve done the work, I recently realised there was still a little bit to do. I did the work, and this is the result, me feeling good enough to write this post and send it our into the world.
I assist my clients to do their own personal work to overcome the thoughts, beliefs and feelings that hold them back in their lives on a regular basis, and I’m a work in progress to.
I use evidenced based techniques, my favourite is EFT/Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques) in my practice to support my client in the work of becoming who they want to be, grow confidence, relieve stress and anxiety, and feel more peace and contentment in life.
Having self-awareness of what you’re thinking and limiting beliefs is the starting point, and I love to help clients recognise their beliefs and, many aren’t aware of the stories playing out. Interestingly, many aren’t actually true, because they are stories based on experiences from our past where we have formed beliefs and decisions about ourselves and the world around us. And, excitingly, as I have experienced myself, we can rewrite them to live the life we want to live.

“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending”
I love this quote, because it is true, with support this can be true for all of us.
