♻️🔥 Some people see worn-out drill bits. We see plenty of metres still left in them.

iCutter Industries was the first to establish a dedicated full-scale mining PDC rebuild centre in Australia, and we’ve been giving bits a second, third and sometimes fourth life ever since.

Rebuilt locally. Proven in Australian conditions. Ready to get back down the hole.

Everyone talks about drilling as the bottleneck. Fix the drilling, fix the problem.

But here's what actually happens when you fix it: The bottleneck moves. It shifts back to production, where it probably should have been all along. Suddenly the drill fleet isn't the constraint. The trucks are. The shovels are. The planning is.

We’ve watched sites lift pe*******on rates to the point where they pulled a rig out of the fleet entirely. Not parked it; removed it from the operation. That's not a 10% efficiency gain on a spreadsheet. That's millions in annual savings and a completely different way of running the mine.

And that's the part most people miss. Fixing drilling doesn't just make drilling better. It changes what the operation looks like. Sites either take a drill out and bank the savings, or they keep the fleet and push more metres than they ever planned for. Both are good problems to have.

The reason it gets overlooked is that drilling sits in this weird spot where everyone accepts it's slow, budgets around it being slow, and plans around it being slow. When you actually challenge that assumption and match the right tools to the ground, the whole model shifts.

If drilling is a bottleneck, it doesn't have to be. Get in touch to discover more: http://www.icutterindustries.com?utm_campaign=meetedgar&utm_medium=social&utm_source=meetedgar.com

⚒️📈 Queensland has passed new legislation aimed at accelerating investment in the state’s critical minerals sector, while attracting major projects and creating regional jobs.

The State Development and Public Works Organisation (Critical Minerals) and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2026 will give the Queensland Government the tools to facilitate and streamline major projects while protecting agricultural land and landholder rights.

“Queensland has an extraordinary opportunity to become a global leader in critical minerals, and we are determined to seize that opportunity for the benefit of all Queenslanders,” Queensland deputy premier Jarrod Bleijie said. “The legislation gives us the tools to attract investment, create jobs and build new industries, particularly in rural and regional Queensland where the benefits of critical minerals development can be transformational.”

⚒️🤝 Congratulations to Rox Resources and Badimia Barna Native Title Claim Applicant on securing consent for future mining tenure and approvals by signing a Native Title Mining Agreement for Youanmi gold mine in Western Australia, as Rox targets first gold in mid-2027.

The binding agreement covers Rox’s existing project tenure and future applications across the defined Youanmi project area, providing consent for the grant and renewal of future tenements, as well as approvals required for mining, exploration and broader project activities.

Australia’s largest aluminium smelter has a future locked in until 2038 after the Federal and New South Wales governments committed $2.5 billion to keep Tomago Aluminium running, ending years of doubt over the plant in the Hunter region.

Majority-owned by Rio Tinto, Tomago produces up to 590,000 tonnes of aluminium a year, almost 40 per cent of the national total, and sends most of it to customers across the Asia-Pacific.

iCutter Industries Business Development Specialist, Kyle Christison, enjoyed attending Supply Nation Connect 2026 in Perth earlier this week.

It was a great opportunity to learn about so many Indigenous businesses and the organisations backing them. Kyle was impressed by the sheer breadth of what's being built in mining services, logistics, construction, professional services, and everything in between. An important reminder of how much capability sits across this network!

Kyle's favourite part of the day was walking the booths, bumping into people he hadn't seen in years, and having a yarn about where the industry's headed. It was a valuable experience to have a handful of conversations with people he'd only ever spoken to online to finally put a face to the name. That mix of old mates and new connections is what makes an event like this so valuable.

It was great to reconnect, make new connections, and be reminded why supplier diversity in mining and resources isn't a tick-the-box exercise. It's where a lot of the best partnerships start.

We look forward to attending the next Supply Nation event!
