We are deeply saddened to share that Ian ‘chop’ passed away last night.
He will be missed by many.
Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

Sharing with you some news from Matt Duff about his mate Ian ‘chop’ Elphick - former superintendent at Gunnedah GC and NSWGCSA board director.

“For all of us who know the legendary Ian “Chop” Elphick, and those that have heard many a great tale about the big man, unfortunately he has been unwell for a while.

Chop went about this the same way he did everything, he didn’t want the fuss and didn’t want to worry anyone about it.

It saddens me to inform you all of this, but Chop’s health has declined rapidly, and he is now in Pallative Care.

He’s a great man and a legend of our industry. He holds a special spot in the hearts of so many people.

Please keep Chop and his lovely family in your thoughts and prayers during these difficult times”

fantastic Education Day at Avondale today, with Course Superintendent Rob Biddle showcasing the impressive work he and his team have been delivering across the course. We were also fortunate to have Peter Dunn, Course Superintendent at Federal Golf Club, make a special trip to Sydney to share his insights with our team.
