The Aerospace Students Association (AESA) is a student association aimed at providing services to Aerospace Engineering and Aviation students at RMIT University. The Aerospace Students Association is created to present you with some FUN by holding numerous social events and competitions that are open to both AESA members and non-members. (Although being a member will have privileges!)

Events tha

t were hold in the past include pool night, bbq, paintballing, visits to Avalon airshow, holding an annual industry night, and organising the engineering ball in partnership with fellow RMIT engineering clubs. These social events are aimed to bring people together from all different sorts of backgrounds and nationalities from first to final year, expanding your social life to benefit everyone as well as promoting the Aerospace and Aviation industries to you!

Whether you’re preparing for your first interview or just want to sharpen your skills, this is a good chance to learn, practise, and get a little more comfortable with the process.

Delivering this session is Nirajit Syamal, the education leader for Asia Pacific South for Dassault Systèmes, who returns to provide more insight into the skills you need to land a job but are not taught in university

Last Tuesday, we hosted our first study session guest Sarujan Srikaran, RMIT aerospace alumni and previous AESA Careers Coordinator. He provided the attendees with insight into how CAD is used in the industry and went through the basics of using SolidWorks, giving tips and tricks to make drawing easier and avoiding errors.

AESA thanks Sarujan for coming back and supporting our members!

Yesterday, we hosted Nirajit Syamal with his workshop "Why Some Engineers Get Picked and Others Get Cooked?". He imparted his insights into how students should best prepare themselves for making connections and entering the workforce.
