Some days are wild, but moments like this put everything back into perspective.

A house full of laughter is the best kind of home there is. It’s easy to get caught up in the busy daily rush, but watching them just laugh and be kids reminds me of what actually matters most.

So grateful for this crazy, beautiful life and the little humans who make it so special

No one warns you about the psychological tug-of-war that happens when you decide to raise a family and build a business at the exact same time.

If you’re out here trying to balance both, here are 5 raw truths no one tells you:

1. You never really feel like you’re winning.
When you’re doing well in business, you feel like you’re failing at home. When you’re fully present at home, you feel like you’re falling behind in business.

2. Your wins don’t always feel like your wins.
You achieve something you’ve worked so hard for, but there’s barely time to process it before someone needs you or the next problem lands in your lap.

3.You’re constantly being pulled in opposite directions.
You’re trying to create the best future for your family while also worrying that building it is taking you away from them now.

4.Your mind becomes your biggest asset and your biggest enemy.
It holds the ideas, ambition and determination that keep everything moving—but it also carries the guilt, pressure and endless mental load.

5.Sometimes it feels like you’re building something while everything else falls apart around you.
The house is a mess, the washing is piling up, the kids need you and you’re questioning every decision—but you keep going because what you’re building is for them, too.

From the moment your eyes open, your brain is running a full-blown marathon of self-doubt and mum’s guilt. Are you doing enough? Are you present enough? Are you holding on too tight, or letting go too much?

Between managing the mental load of motherhood, balancing work and family life, and trying to build a solid future for your kids, it’s so easy to feel like you’re missing the present moment right in front of you.

If you’re carrying that heavy, silent mum burnout today while stepping over Lego and drinking cold coffee, I just want to remind you: the very fact that you care this much means you are doing an incredible job.

We’re all out here navigating the mum struggles, winging it day by day, and loving our little crew through the utter chaos.

Take a breath today. Have a quiet cup of tea (or a glass of wine later) and give yourself a bit of grace. You’re doing so much better than you think.

Everyone sees the house. I see the land.

This purchase was about so much more than four bedrooms.

It was about giving my clients enough space for their overseas family to come and stay for weeks or even months at a time without everyone feeling on top of each other.

It was about securing a block that gives them options. Side access. Room for a pool. A huge entertaining deck. Space for the kids to run around. The freedom to create the lifestyle they actually wanted.

In a market where so many homes are squeezed onto 350m² blocks, securing that extra land was worth fighting for.

Here’s the thing I tell my clients all the time: you can renovate a kitchen, update a bathroom, build a deck, or install a pool. You can change almost everything about a house.
