CBD Master Plan - Have Your Say

We're sharing our six emerging Big Ideas for the Mount Gambier CBD Master Plan!

Civic Heart Rejuvenation - including a detailed plan for Cave Garden/Thugi. Enhancing Mount Gambierโ€™s key cultural and civic heart; making it easier and safer to get around by delivering upgrades to public spaces, landscaping, lighting and wayfinding.

We're keen to hear your thoughts:

โœ… Are there any elements (like the art sculptures, fountain, etc.) that we could creatively weave into a refreshed design, or need to be careful of?
โœ… What local stories, history or cultural themes should be reflected in the precinct?
โœ… How else could the Civic Precinct be used? (E.g. for events, festivals, performances, gatherings, outdoor dining, etc?)

Share your ideas, photos and feedback here: ๐Ÿ”—https://www.haveyoursaymountgambier.com.au/cbdmasterplan/brainstormers/civic-heart

๐Ÿ“ Drop in at 24 Commercial Street West (formerly Youngs The Man's Shop) from 31 August to 2 September 2026, 9:00am to 7:00pm.
