A beast of a Silverado, built a little differently.

This 2500 Silverado has rolled out in the rain with a BMU Pro Series tray and a few custom touches that make this one seriously unique.

Up front and underneath, there’s plenty of storage with deep front and rear undertray boxes, removable taillight surrounds and a neatly relocated factory fuel filler.

At the rear, we’ve integrated a custom 215L fuel tank complete with pump, while still creating additional lockable storage alongside it.

The standout feature is the setup for the customer’s 5th wheel hitch.

We built the Pro Series tray, measured everything to suit the vehicle, cut the required opening and reinforced the tray around it, with a cover panel finishing it off once back from powder coat.

It’s not something we build every week, but that’s exactly why this one was worth taking on.

Built for work, with the details to match.

This Ford Super Duty is fitted with a BMU Pro Series tray designed to keep things practical, secure and easy to use on site.

Sideboards, stainless trim, lockable underbody boxes, a fully sealed trundle drawer with built-in workbench, 40L water tank and lockable fuel filler all come together in one clean, hard-working setup.

The tradie rack adds even more carrying capacity, with a toolbox still to come to complete the build.

A solid work ute setup with plenty of room to keep evolving.

BMU Engineering is looking for a motivated CNC Laser & Press Brake Operator to take ownership of our laser cutting and folding operations!

This isn’t just about pushing buttons. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has an eye for detail and wants to play a key role in keeping production running efficiently.

🔧 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

* Experience in a fabrication or manufacturing workshop
* Experience operating CNC machinery
* Experience with sheet metal folding and press brakes
* A positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic
* Ability to work independently, manage priorities and keep production on track
* Current driver’s licence
* Forklift licence (highly desirable)

The setup includes full sideboards, stainless trim across the headboard and tradie rack, lockable underbody boxes, removable taillight surrounds and a fully sealed lockable trundle drawer with a tidy workbench built in.

Up front, there’s a lockable fuel filler and 40L water tank, with the customer also coming back for a toolbox to complete the setup.

Why choose a BMU chassis mount canopy?

It comes down to strength, weight and practicality.

Our chassis mount systems use a reinforced subframe instead of a full tray base, helping save up to around 80kg while still giving the canopy the strength it needs for tough Australian conditions.

That extra weight saving can make a real difference when it comes to payload and GVM.

Inside, Uni-Strut framing runs through the floor, walls and roof, creating a strong structure while also allowing accessories underneath to be mounted, moved or replaced without rebuilding the whole setup.

It’s a system designed to be tough, repairable and adaptable for work, touring and everything in between.

The BMU N90, fully kitted out and ready to get out there.

From the 1500 canopy and Pro Series tray to the platform rack, solar, Starlink mount, fold-down ladder and new jerry can holder, this build makes use of space everywhere we can.

Add the internal storage and power setup, plus an ARB compressor with Tough Terrain retractable air lead tucked into the rear toolbox, and we’ve got a HiLux built for long days on the road and weekends well beyond it.

Plenty of capability, without filling the canopy with things you don’t need.
