Two years ago, we set out to do something that hadn't been done before with a supplement ingredient; run a fully decentralised clinical trial, with participants across Australia taking part entirely from home. No clinic visits. Just real people, in their real lives, self-collecting samples and blood spots.

Today we can share the results; and they're world-firsts.

In healthy adults, daily Polynol™ (our polyphenol-rich sugarcane extract- PRSE) was associated with:
🔻 A lower circulating proportion of trans fatty acids
🔻 Lower VLDL cholesterol
🔻 Lower triglycerides
🦠 Functional shifts in the gut microbiome linked to improved gut health — without disrupting overall microbial diversity

This is the first randomised controlled human trial to link PRSE supplementation to these cardiometabolic and microbiome outcomes — and it shows decentralised trial models can deliver rigorous, peer-reviewed science at national scale.
