The RBA has announced another increase in the official cash rate, bringing it to 4.85%.
In September, the RBA lifted the official cash rate to 4.60%. After today’s board meeting, the Monetary Policy Board has decided to further increase this by 4.85%. This aims to address broader economic pressures nationwide and reduce inflation to the target range of 2-3%.
A rate rise is a good prompt to review your current financial position. Business owners can check their cash flow and repayments. If you’re a borrower, review your current loan features and interest rate to see if they still align with your goals. Lastly, if you’re an investor, revisit your asset allocations to see how the rate change affects them.
Our lending, business advisory and wealth teams can help you assess where you stand and whether your structure still suits your goals.
If you wish to discuss your current financial situation, we are here to help.
