This is why as a bookkeeper I ask for receipts. Not just bank statement as insufficient information. Receipts or tax invoice also shows if it’s a valid ABN and if GST is applicable.

Today is a celebration of four years of my business 💛 - and a very timely completion of our 2-day workshop on the Gold Coast, where I started my training with First Class Accounts. One of the best decisions I've ever made!

The theme was Connections. Focus. Confidence. There was so much great content to take back to my business and clients, while connecting with other FCA franchisees and learning and growing.
Compliance is a big part of what we do for our clients. With new Payday Super and AML rules coming in on July 1 it was great to hear from Peter at Australian Bookkeepers Network and get all the latest updates.

If you are a business that is eligible for fuel tax credits (FTC) on your BAS please note the new rates.
Or reach out for assistance in completing your Business Activity Statement (BAS)

Fuel tax credit rates changed on 1 July and 4 August. Different rates apply based on when your business acquired fuel.

Using the right rate when lodging your BAS = more savings for your business.
