Sometimes the smallest parts are the biggest reason your gear starts acting up. 👀

Here are a few items that have been trending in the Disco Techs shop this week:

Disco Techs L**e Tube - $25-$40 AUD
Our in-house synthetic silicone lubricant designed for servicing faders, switches and moving components in DJ and AV gear.

Pioneer VKN2023 - Link Socket - $18 AUD
Replacement link socket for compatible Pioneer CDJ and DJM units.

Pioneer XKB3066 - Headphone Jack Socket - $12 AUD
Replacement 6.5mm headphone socket for compatible Pioneer DJM mixers.

Pioneer DWX3633 - Headphone Assy - $55 AUD
Replacement headphone output board to suit Pioneer XDJ-RX.

A lot of the repairs we see in the factory come down to worn sockets, tired ports and components simply giving up after years of use. Swap the right piece and your gear can be back in action fast.

These DJM-800s are still holding up well for their age. The rest? Nothing a service can’t sort out. 👀

Georgia runs through both mixers during a free assessment, checking overall condition, wear on moving parts, channel performance and anything that could turn into a bigger issue later on.

Not every booking turns into a major repair. A lot of the time, it’s just about figuring out what your kit needs, what can wait, and whether it’s worth servicing now before problems start stacking up.

Hidden above Hardware Lane, Radio Nacional is now running a Void Acoustics speaker setup supplied and installed by the Disco Techs commercial team. 👌

The venue is fitted with custom timber-finish Void Venu 8 V2 speakers designed to blend into the space while still delivering serious output.

A few reasons the Venu 8 V2 worked so well here:
• Compact footprint
• High output without dominating the room visually
• Rotatable horn for flexible coverage
• Custom timber finish to suit the venue aesthetic

The result is a system that feels clean, intentional and built for everything from DJ nights and brand launches through to private events and afterparties.

“Ambiguous grot.” 😭

These Pioneer XDJs came into the factory from a Melbourne venue for a service. No liquid damage. No major faults. Just a bunch of dust, dried grease and booth grime building up inside the units.

Georgia stripped them down, cleaned everything out, relubed the moving parts (pick up the L**e Tube on our website via the link in bio) and got both decks feeling consistent again.

This is the kind of servicing that keeps venue gear alive longer and helps avoid bigger repairs later on.
