Georgia takes us through the full process of servicing a Pioneer DJ CDJ, getting right inside the unit to clean, inspect, re-lube and test the parts that keep your deck doing what it should.

We need to talk about the drill.

We get a LOT of comments and messages about the tools you see us using in our repair videos. So Georgia is here to clear something up once and for all.

No, we’re NOT attacking your CDJ with an impact driver. 😅

We’re pretty selective about the tools we use in the workshop. Different techs have their favourites, but the goal is the same: get through repairs efficiently and safely without causing damage to your gear.

Could we undo every single screw by hand? Sure. Do we want to when we’re working through this many units every week? Absolutely not.

After years of pulling apart, repairing and putting DJ gear back together, we know what works for us.

And yes, we promise we know the difference between a drill and an impact driver. 😅

Enjoy this speedy general service of a Pioneer CDJ-3000, getting it looking good as new!

In this service, we replaced the sync buttons and jog, and cleaned off all the dust that had built up over time.
