Wonderful news! St Paul's Church has received grant funding from the Tasmanian Government's Built Heritage Scheme 2025-26 in order to facilitate exterior repairs. This will enable the building to be weather proofed for winter and looking great in time for Stanley's Bicentenary activities 31st October until 2nd November. The Museum Hall was refurbished in 2023 with thanks to Tasmanian Government funding. A fantastic result for Stanley's heritage and community. Thanks to Roger Jaensch MP for his support.

🚶Council has been working on footpath improvements in Stanley.

In Hale Street, we’re nearing completion of the replacement of the ageing footpath. The new concrete pathway will improve durability and pedestrian safety and includes new access ramps to better support accessibility for everyone, including people with mobility needs.

We’re also currently constructing a new footpath along Cripps Street and Victoria Street, helping to close a key gap in the network. Once complete, this will provide a safer and more connected route for pedestrians.

Thank you to the Stanley community for your patience while these works are underway.

If you have any questions or feedback about these projects, please get in touch.
