There’s nothing quite like gaining skills in a real workplace. We’ve been getting hands-on experience at Boomerang Farm Golf Course, working through real workplace tasks, following job lists, maintaining the grounds and building confidence along the way.
These opportunities are about much more than completing a task — they’re about learning workplace routines, building independence and developing skills that can be taken into future employment. 🌱

A special morning tea with Monday Job Club to celebrate one of our wonderful team members before she heads off on her next big adventure! 👶✨
We wrote positive and funny messages on nappies for those 2am nappy changes, played “Guess the Baby Bump” with ribbons, enjoyed some yummy treats together 🧁💕
Wishing our beautiful mum-to-be all the very best! We will miss you! 🌸

🛍️ Putting Job Club Skills into Practice! 🌟
A fantastic milestone at the Birch Foundation op shop!
For the first time, one of our participants had the opportunity to serve a customer, with support from the PathStart team.
It was a great opportunity to put skills learned through Job Club into practice in a real workplace — including communication skills, managing emotions, team work and building workplace confidence.
Taking skills from the classroom into a real work environment is an important step towards greater independence and future employment. 💪
Every new skill starts with giving it a go — and this was a great step forward! Way to go! 👏💛

A different kind of Friday at Job Club last week! 🙌 Friday’s Job Club welcomed guest speaker Pete (an expert in all things Events!) who joined us to share everything there is to know about working in events and a bit about the Pacific AirShow and his part in the setup.
The afternoon then took learning out into the community with a trip to the Pacific Airshow! ✈️
Job Club isn’t just about sitting in a classroom. It’s about conversations, new experiences, exploring interests, building social confidence and connecting what we learn with the world around us.
