A wonderful evening celebrating the people who make our business what it is.

This year, our NSW Guarding and NSW Defence teams came together with SXP, SMR, SMA and SDS for our first combined Service Awards celebration, recognising the dedication, commitment and achievements of our people across the business.

From years of service milestones to special commendations and awards for leadership, safety, customer service, values and performance, the night was a chance to acknowledge the individuals who continue to make a difference every day. We were also proud to celebrate our NSW Guarding employees reaching 5, 10 and 15 years of service, recognising their ongoing contribution and commitment to the team.

Congratulations to all our award recipients and long-serving employees and thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a memorable occasion.

MSS Security recently attended the Yalari Gala Dinner, joining hundreds of supporters committed to creating greater educational opportunities for Indigenous young people across Australia.

Defence and Queensland General Managers; Michael Matthew and Lisa Blackburn, alongside Indigenous Engagement Specialist Connor Diffey and other MSS stakeholders, had the privilege of connecting with Kenny, the Yalari scholar proudly sponsored through the Rosemary Bishop Indigenous Education Scholarship Program.

Hearing firsthand about Kenny’s educational journey was a powerful reminder of the impact that education, mentoring and meaningful support can have on future generations. MSS Security is proud to partner with Yalari and remains committed to creating opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through education, employment and community engagement.

Eight future Aviation Protection Officers have successfully completed the first-ever MSS-delivered Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (TSP).

This inaugural course brought together an incredible all-female cohort whose energy, determination and support for one another made the experience truly memorable. A powerful morning at Worldview Foundation’s 2026 NAIDOC Spring Breakfast at the University of Canberra, celebrating 50 years of NAIDOC and recognising the generations who have paved the way for those shaping the future.

Our ACT team was privileged to hear inspiring and deeply personal stories of resilience, growth and opportunity, including firsthand accounts from participants whose journeys highlighted the life-changing impact of genuine support and meaningful pathways to employment.

The event also highlighted the importance of our growing partnership with the Worldview Foundation and the Snow Foundation. Through the MSS Security Scholarship Program, we’re helping create opportunities for participants to access training, licensing and meaningful careers in the security industry.

We left the breakfast with plenty to reflect on and an even greater appreciation for the power of partnerships that create lasting change and real opportunities for individuals and communities.

R U Ok? Day at MSS security 💛

This R U Ok? Day, MSS security teams across the country came together to connect, reflect and reinforce the importance of looking out for one another.

Through team gatherings, wellbeing discussions, shared experiences and a few sweet treats, employees took the opportunity to learn more about supporting colleagues, recognising when someone may need help, and having meaningful conversations that can make a real difference.

While R U Ok? Day shines a spotlight on mental wellbeing, the message is one that extends far beyond a single day. Asking a genuine question, listening without judgement and taking the time to check in with a colleague can help create a workplace where everyone feels supported, valued and connected.

A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped foster important conversations across our business. Together, we're continuing to build a culture where looking out for one another is part of who we are.
