These are real things women have said to me. Some in my clinic, some on the couch during a home visit, most of them said quietly, almost like an apology.

If you’ve said any of these to yourself, I want you to hear what I tell every woman who says them to me. You are not failing. You’re doing the hardest thing there is, often without the support you should have had around you. The two are not the same, even though exhaustion makes them feel identical at 3am.

You were never the problem but the lack of support was.

So much of that lack comes down to walking in unprepared, not because you didn’t try, but because no one sat you down beforehand and told you what was actually coming. That’s exactly what my Bump to Breast workshop is for. It gets you and your support partner ready for the early days together, so you’re not learning it all at 3am on no sleep. If you’re pregnant, this is the preparation I wish every woman had. Bookings are open, link in bio.

The most radical thing I do as a midwife isn’t the homebirth, the birth pool, or the 3am phone calls.

It’s sitting across from a woman and telling her what her options actually are. All of them. Then trusting her to decide.

It shouldn’t be radical. Informed choice is meant to be the baseline, it’s written into every code of conduct we have. But you already know it often isn’t what happens. You’ve felt the difference between being informed and being managed. Between being asked and being told.

So until that changes, I’ll keep doing the radical thing.

If you want to walk into your birth actually understanding your choices, that’s exactly what my Calmbirth workshop is for. Not a script for the “perfect” birth, but the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions whatever your birth looks like. Bookings are open now, link in bio.

Save this if you’ve felt that difference, and share it with someone who’s still deciding what kind of care she wants.

For too long, women in regional communities have been quietly told that certain standards of care are not for them.

Not because they deserve less. But because no one had built it yet.

We have.

Nurture & Nourish Collective is the first private midwifery practice in Tamworth, and we are not done yet. We are here for the women of this community, the surrounding areas, and through our virtual services, women across Australia who deserve the same standard of care regardless of where they call home.

If you are pregnant, postpartum, breastfeeding, or simply planning ahead and wondering what your options actually look like, we would love to hear from you.

There is something different about unpacking your birth with someone who has not only supported hundreds of women through theirs, but who has lived it herself six times over.

As an endorsed midwife and a mother of six, I understand birth from the inside out. I know how much can happen in that room. I know how much can be left unspoken afterward. And I know how long women can carry something from their birth before anyone actually stops to ask how they are.

A Birth Debrief is not a clinical review. It is a real conversation. We go through your notes, your timeline, the moments that still sit with you. The things that were said, the decisions that were made, and whether you truly felt heard through any of it.

You do not need it to have been an emergency to deserve this space. You just need to feel like your birth left something behind that you have not been able to put down.

That is enough.

Your shower. Your bed. Your kitchen bench at 2am. Your toddler asleep down the hall.

There is a quiet power in labouring in your own space that is almost impossible to describe until you have felt it.

But there is also science behind it. Oxytocin, the hormone that drives labour, flows most freely when you feel safe, private, and unhurried. Your home already provides that.

Your nervous system already knows it.

Your body already trusts it.

If you have ever been quietly curious about whether homebirth could be right for you, my DMs are always open. No pressure, no commitment. Just an honest conversation with someone who has supported women through all types of births (and birthed 6 of my own babies!)

Nurture and Nourish Collective offers private homebirth midwifery care in Tamworth and surrounds. Two known midwives. Continuity from your very first appointment through to seven weeks postpartum. Care that is entirely, unhurriedly yours.

We are Nurture and Nourish Collective.

Tamworth’s first private midwifery clinic - and the team behind it.

I started this award-winning practice because I kept seeing the gap between the care women were receiving and the care they actually deserved. More time. More continuity. A familiar face. Someone who knew their whole story.

What we have built here is something I am incredibly proud of. Not just the services, the qualifications, or the awards, but the team. Three midwives who show up every single day because they genuinely believe women deserve better.

If you are pregnant, postpartum, navigating feeding, exhausted from broken sleep, or simply looking for someone who will actually listen - we are here.

All of us. All in one place.

No referral needed. Link in bio to book.

If you’re a partner watching someone you love struggle through the early days of breastfeeding, this one is for you.

You might feel helpless. Like it’s between her and the baby and there’s nothing you can do but wait.

But partner support is one of the strongest predictors of breastfeeding success. What you do and say in those early weeks genuinely matters more than you know.

Swipe through for the things that actually make a difference - and for a more in depth understanding of breastfeeding, and the support a breastfeeding mama and baby need, my Bump to Breast Course is for you! Book now via the link in my bio. It’s ideal for both mothers-to-be and their partners, and equips you with the tips and tools you need to thrive in your fourth trimester with your baby.

If feeding is feeling hard right now, please don’t wait it out. Pain, latch struggles, supply concerns, a baby who won’t settle at the breast - these things have solutions. Getting support early changes outcomes.

At Nurture & Nourish Collective, we are also available for in-person lactation consultations in Tamworth and surrounds, and virtually for families anywhere in Australia. You don’t need a referral. You don’t need to have hit a crisis point. You just need to reach out 🩷

Scheduled feeding is one of the most common pieces of advice new mothers receive.

It is also one of the most common reasons breastfeeding ends earlier than a mother wanted it to.

Your supply is not fixed.

It is built feed by feed in those early weeks, and it can be quietly eroded by a clock before you even realise what’s happening.

If you are struggling with supply, or you’ve been told to stretch your feeds, or someone has put you on a two to three hour schedule and it doesn’t feel right: trust that feeling.

Your instincts are not wrong. The advice might be.

Swipe through to read more.

And if this is already happening to you, I’m here for you! You can book a lactation consult through the link in my bio, whether you’re local here in Tamworth (for in clinic), or anywhere else Australia (for virtual). It is not too late to turn this around!
