"Discounting is a great way to grow your business "

❌️Wrong

Did you know, if you have a 50% margin on a product or service, and you offer a 10% discount
You have to sell 25% more of that thing - just to get back to where you started.

🥵And - if you get to that same profit place, you will just be 25% busier for the same money

Discounting is to be used very strategically to help generate cashflow in certain situations, or as a part of a broader strategy.

But the idea that quick discounting makes you your customers friend, or attracts your ideal client, with no regard to the margin itself - is stupid.
