A stylish kitchen that actually keeps up with family life? Oh yes please! 🍽️✨

Designing a kitchen isn’t just about tiles or tapware — it’s about creating a space that works beautifully, every single day 🔥

That’s exactly what we helped this young Kingsley family achieve.

With two little boys and a newborn, space was tight and functionality mattered. So we extended the ground floor and created an open-plan living space centred around a kitchen that’s both practical and polished 🏡

Here’s what made the difference:
✅ An island bench for everything — breakfast, homework, or a wine with friends
✅ Ample storage so everything has a place (and clutter stays out of sight)
✅ A natural flow from kitchen to dining to lounge — keeping the family connected without feeling crowded

We even repositioned the staircase to free up space and turn it into a standout architectural feature 👏

The result?
A kitchen that works just as hard as the family who lives in it 🤍

Thinking about your own dream kitchen? Start with how you live — then design around that ✨

Will your Perth home pass the winter test? ❄️🏡
Winter in Perth isn’t brutal… but your home still might fail on a few fronts…

You’ll notice it in the little things 👇
🧊 That one freezing room no one goes into 🥶
You know the one. Always cold, never used. Usually poor insulation, bad orientation, or airflow that just doesn’t work.
🛀 Bathrooms that turn into a rainforest 🌫️
Fogged mirrors, damp towels, that slight mould situation you’re pretending not to see.
That’s ventilation (or lack of it).
🪟 Cold drafts you can’t explain 🌬️
Near windows, under doors, down the hallway.
Single glazing and gaps doing their thing.
🕰️ Lights on at 3pm 💡
If half your house feels like dusk by mid-afternoon, it’s not just winter. It’s window placement, layout, and how your home captures light.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Everyone crammed into one room 🔥
The heater’s on, and suddenly the whole family lives in one space. That’s a zoning problem, not a family bonding exercise.

None of this is random.
👉It’s insulation.
👉It’s layout.
👉It’s orientation.
👉 It’s how the home was designed (or extended… badly).

The good news? These are all fixable.
👉Better ventilation.
👉Smarter layouts.
👉 Upgraded glazing.
👉 Spaces that actually hold warmth and light.

Winter doesn’t create the problems…it just makes them impossible to ignore 😏

Your home should fit your life… not the other way around ✨

We see it all the time. Beautiful homes that just… don’t quite work for the people living in them. That’s exactly what this Morley project set out to change.

The goal wasn’t just to add a second storey. It was to create spaces that felt considered, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable to spend time in 🏡. So we designed an extension that blends seamlessly with the original home, while transforming how our clients live in it day to day.

We added:
🎬 A proper home theatre
Layered seating, thoughtfully designed acoustics — the kind of space you actually look forward to using.
🛁 An ensuite that feels like a retreat
Double walk-in shower, spa, warm finishes, and soft lighting ✨
🚪 Details that make life easier
Cavity sliders, a generous walk-in robe, and a jarrah staircase that feels right at home.

Because the best renovations make your home feel better to live in — every single day 🤍
If your home isn’t quite keeping up with your lifestyle, it might be time to reimagine what’s possible. Contact our friendly team today to book your free consultation ☎️

Planning a renovation on a budget? You’ll love this 👇😍

Let’s talk about what feels expensive in a home (but won’t cost an arm and a leg). It’s rarely the obvious stuff.

Some of the most “expensive-feeling” homes are just… cleverly designed.

Here are 5 insider tips you can use in your reno…
1️⃣ Consistent flooring throughout
One material, carried through the main areas, instantly makes a home feel bigger and more refined 🏡✨
2️⃣ Ceiling height where it counts
You don’t need it everywhere. But in living areas? It changes everything.
3️⃣ Good lighting (not just more lighting)
Layered, considered lighting beats a ceiling full of downlights every time 💡
4️⃣ Storage that’s built in, not added later
When everything has a place, the whole home feels calmer (and more high-end) 🙌
5️⃣ Simple, cohesive finishes
You don’t need ten materials. A restrained palette almost always feels more elevated 🎨

The difference isn’t always budget. It’s the decisions behind it.

Design well, and your home will feel more expensive than it actually is.

We didn’t just help them build… we helped them spend smarter 🧠💰

This project had plenty of personality and design ideas; we helped them get everything they dreamed of, in the budget they could work with.

💬 Here’s what the clients had to say…

“Max gave us suggestions to make our project more cost-efficient, which we found extremely valuable. Next Level Extensions was flexible and really worked with us. We chose non-standard recycled countertops for the kitchen, laundry and bathrooms, and Craig guided us through other material choices, explaining how each decision would impact the overall cost. We have no words to thank them for transforming our house into such a pleasant place to live.”- Luciana

🙂 Renovations come with a lot of decisions. The right guidance makes all the difference.

It’s not about cutting corners. It’s about knowing where to invest, where to save, and how to get the best outcome for your budget 💡

The 5 renovation decisions you’ll notice every single day…

Not the tiles you agonised over for three weekends 😅 The other stuff - the things you’ll genuinely be thankful for EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

1️⃣ Where everything lands when you walk in the door 🔑 👜
If there’s no obvious place for keys, bags, shoes, life… your house becomes a messy drop zone. Instantly. But planned entries make create order (and help you chill).
2️⃣ Your kitchen flow ✨ 🍝
Fridge → sink → cooktop. When it works, everything flows. When it doesn’t, you’re doing laps every night, wondering why cooking feels like cardio.
3️⃣ Light switches and power points that make sense💡📱
The ones in reach just at the right moment. Like when you need to charge the phone in the middle of MAFS or turn the light off as you drift off to sleep.
4️⃣ Storage that just works 🙌
The ultimate dopamine hit? Having ALL your clutter neatly away in the correct storage department.
5️⃣ Spaces that connect 🤍
Flow and function matter more than people expect. Your home should move with your lifestyle, not against it.

These aren’t the decisions people get excited about. But they’re the ones that quietly shape your day, over and over again.

Proof that a colour palette can completely change the feel of a home ✨

This Floreat project gets the balance just right — soft apricot tones, bold French navy, muted greys, warm whites, and those copper highlights tying it all together beautifully 🎨. It’s warm, refined, and full of personality without trying too hard.

How to achieve this look in your own home:
🤍 Start with a calm base
Warm whites and soft greys give you a clean, timeless backdrop.
💜 Add contrast with one bold tone
A deep navy or similar anchors the space and adds depth.
🌿 Layer in warmth
Apricot or earthy tones soften the palette and make it feel inviting.
✨ Finish with texture + metallics
Copper, brushed brass, or warm finishes bring that elevated, polished feel.

It’s not about adding more. It’s about choosing well.

Perth property predictions for 2026? 🏠🔮 . The experts say the market still has legs 📈

📅 According to ABC News - Perth was the standout mover in February, with home values up 2.3% for the month, while Sydney and Melbourne stayed flat.

🤔 At the same time, Perth listings were reported to be 48% below the five-year average… which tells you one thing very clearly: good homes are still in short supply.
And that’s where this gets interesting for homeowners.

Michael Yardney’s latest 2026 outlook argues this year is likely to be solid, but uneven, with stronger momentum in the first half, then a slower second half as affordability starts to bite 🏦

👉 He also points to a widening gap between better-performing and underperforming suburbs and properties.

In plain English? Not every home will benefit equally.

In a market like this, buyers get selective. They’re drawn to homes that feel well planned, functional, and move-in ready.

So if you’re renovating in 2026, it’s not just about making your home look better - it’s about making it more liveable, more desirable, and more competitive in a market where quality stands out.

The smart play in 2026? Improve what you already own. ✨

Better layout. Better flow. Better everyday living. And in Perth, that can translate to better value too 🤑

Not all beautiful homes start that way. Some are uncovered. ✨

This Victoria Park redbrick beauty had the kind of charm you can’t replicate — high ceilings, solid bones, a sense of history 🏡. But it was hiding.

From the street, it faced a busy road. At the back? A completely different story. A quiet lane, opening out to parkland, light, and space 🌿. The opportunity was there. It just needed to be revealed.

We stripped away the poorly built extensions and started again, carefully reworking the home so it could finally live the way it deserved to. The hallway now draws you through to the heart of the home, where the space opens up into a light-filled kitchen, living, and dining area ☀️. The north-facing rear brings in warmth, greenery, and a completely different energy. The alfresco connects seamlessly to the outdoors. The new spaces feel generous, calm, and easy to live in.

And through it all, the original character remains. 3.2m ceilings. Period details. A roofline that makes it feel like it’s always been this way 🤍. That’s always the goal. Not to overpower what’s there. But to reveal it… and make it work beautifully for modern life.

Trust isn’t built at handover 🔑 It’s built in the small moments, clear communication, showing up, and doing what you said you would. And when you’re dealing with someone’s home, that makes all the difference 🤍

This Wembley project wasn’t about looks alone (although… it delivers).

It was about creating a space that could truly support a passion for food. This kitchen is designed for people who actually love to cook 🔥 🥘🤍

Here’s what we prioritised:
🍅 Room for real-life cooking
Plenty of storage for homemade passata, preserves, and everything that comes with it.
✨ A clean, modern design with impact
Minimal, refined, but still with that “wow” moment when you walk in.
🍽️ A scullery that works hard
Out of sight when you want it to be, but incredibly functional behind the scenes.
🌟 Functionality at every step
Flow, layout, and usability — because a beautiful kitchen still needs to work.

The result?
A space that looks incredible and keeps up with how the home is actually used.
