We can usually tell when health inspectors are making the rounds — the phone starts ringing with panicked calls from restaurant owners wanting a pest treatment booked immediately.

The best venues never make that call.

They already have a commercial pest management program in place, with regular inspections, monitoring and reporting completed as part of their normal operations.

Commercial pest control isn't a quick spray every six months. It's an ongoing preventative process that helps businesses meet their hygiene responsibilities, demonstrate due diligence, and protect their reputation.

We had to drag him by the ears to get him in here, but Andrew is in the office and working the phone all day today. Great day to call and book in your next treatment, you'll get to have a chat to him and help blow the cobwebs off his office skills 🌬 🕸 😄

This little bloke kept us distracted today — popping up on our cameras and soaking up the sunshine. 🦎☀️

The customer thought they had rats in the roof, but the evidence just wasn’t adding up. So instead of jumping straight to traps or baiting, we deployed our inspection cameras to see what was really going on.

And there’s the culprit… a native lizard enjoying the roof space!

This is exactly why we always carry out a full inspection and follow the evidence before recommending treatment. With so many native animals getting around Darwin roofs, the last thing we want is to accidentally harm a non-target species with snap traps or rodent bait.

Inspect first. Treat properly. Protect wildlife. 👍

🐜 Think termites only eat timber? Think again…

You’ve probably seen the damage they can do to books and paper… but that’s just the start.

Here’s some of the more unusual things termites have been known to chew through, either for nutrition, or just for funsies:

🦴 Bones (yep — for minerals, not food)
🛞 Rubber & tyres (usually just in the way)
🧪 Plastics (pipes, barriers, insulation)
🧱 Foam & soft materials (easy tunnelling)
👞 Leather & fabrics (natural fibres = fair game)

👉 They’re not picky — if it’s got cellulose, moisture, or is blocking the path… they’ll have a go.
