Meet the Team | Obi Zafar

We’re pleased to introduce Obi Zafar, one of our experienced Project Manager's at D&P Management.

Obi brings a strong background across civil, structural and construction projects, with experience throughout the Northern Territory and overseas. His expertise spans project management, contractor coordination, structural engineering and assessment, quality assurance, procurement and stakeholder engagement.

Known for his practical problem-solving approach and strong technical capability, Obi has contributed to a wide range of infrastructure, building, civil and remote delivery projects across the NT.

We’re proud to have Obi as part of the D&P Management team.

☕️ Brew & Review at D&P Management ⚽️

Today we held our latest Brew & Review session at D&P Management — a relaxed coffee-and-learn initiative designed to bring our teams together to share knowledge, celebrate successes, and learn from completed projects.

These sessions provide a great opportunity to:
✅ Showcase project achievements and key milestones
✅ Share lessons learned and innovative solutions
✅ Reflect on what worked well and where we can improve
✅ Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams
✅ Recognise the efforts and successes of our project teams

It's always inspiring to hear the experiences and insights from colleagues and to see how those learnings can help shape future projects.

Adding to the excitement, and very much in the spirit of the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, we also kicked off our office World Cup Sweepstake! 🌎🏆

Team members drew their countries from the hat, with prizes up for grabs for:
🥇 The country that goes on to win the tournament
⚽ The team featuring the tournament's top goal scorer

A little friendly competition never hurts, and it’s a fantastic way to bring everyone together ahead of one of the world's biggest sporting events.

Looking forward to seeing which nation comes out on top! 🎉

Reeling in another successful D&P Management fishing charter up in Darwin 🎣☀️🌊

The dry season absolutely delivered — perfect weather, great company, and just enough competition to keep things interesting 😎

Special mention (again…) to Theo, who somehow managed to land the biggest fish for the second year running 🏆🐟 At this point, we’re starting to ask a few questions… coincidence or secret technique? 👀🎯

The rest of the team put in a solid effort — plenty of near-catches, a few “it was this big” stories 🤏😅, and at least one fish that definitely got away 🐠💨

All in all, a great chance to step away from the day-to-day, enjoy Darwin at its best 🌴, and spend some quality time together as a team 🤝

✅ Project complete | Nightcliff Middle School – Carpark & Kiss & Go

D&P Management provided project management services for the delivery of a new carpark and Kiss & Go area at Nightcliff Middle School, on behalf of the Northern Territory Government. 🚗🏫

This upgrade is a significant improvement to the existing drop-off zone and will help reduce congestion during peak school times, improving safety, accessibility, and convenience for students, families, staff, and visitors — as well as nearby residents. 🚸✅

Proud to support infrastructure that makes a real difference to local communities and school environments. 👏🤝

✅ Project complete | T23-1890 | STRUCTURAL INSPECTIONS AND REPORTS ON VARIOUS PARKS AND WILDLIFE ASSETS 🧾✅

D&P Management has completed structural inspections and reporting across 350+ Parks & Wildlife assets throughout the Northern Territory. 🏞️📋

With assets spread across remote locations and exposed to harsh conditions 🌦️🌬️, this work helps keep infrastructure safe, serviceable, and fit for purpose ✅ — with clear, practical next steps for the asset owner, Northern Territory Government. 🔧🛠️

👏🤝Proud of the team effort and coordination to deliver this important project.

How good is this! 🙌 Territory Q has shared the story behind the MXGP track build at Darwin’s Hidden Valley 🏁 — and the scale of work that went into delivering it on time is incredible.

The team had less than a year to design, build and certify a 1.6km world championship track 🏗️⏱️ for the return of MXGP to Australia. There was added pressure too, with this being the first purpose-built world championship motocross track in Australia in more than 20 years 🔥

D&P Management was proud to be involved through project management and stakeholder delivery ✅ — and it was great to see Marco Gerbino (D&PM’s rep and Senior Project Manager) recognised in the article for leading the project 👏
