TRACKS Care is looking for support workers in Darwin.

A lot of the people we support are into gaming, anime, trading cards, tech and building things. The best support often starts with “oh, you’re into that too?” From there, you help them get out in the community, meet new people and do more for themselves. That might be catching the bus to the game shop, budgeting for the next card pack or trying a board game night.

You don’t need to be loud or sporty. If you’re patient, reliable and easy to be around, we’ll teach you the rest.

What you get:

We’re an Aboriginal-owned NDIS provider in Darwin and Katherine, and we care about doing this right, for the people we support and the people who work with us.

Joel spent this morning at the Carers Week Family Fun Day at Katherine Aquatic Centre, and he met some lovely people. 💛

A big thank you to Carers NT for bringing Carers Week celebrations to Katherine. Carers do so much for the people they love, and it was great to see the community come together to recognise them.

If you haven't met Joel yet, he is our Katherine based support worker. Joel has made Katherine his home, and it shows. He is warm, easy to talk to and genuinely interested in people. He takes the time to get to know each person he supports and what matters to them. He is all about real connection, building confidence and getting out into community.

We are still taking referrals in Katherine. Our local services include:

We have some news to share.

TRACKS Care has been named a finalist in the Northern Territory Indigenous Business Network Blak Growth Business of the Year award — and our Managing Director, Nicole Thompson, has been named a finalist in the Blak Female Business Owner of the Year award.

We started delivering services in November 2024. We are less than two years old. And we are up against some seriously strong competition — which tells us the bar is high, and that is exactly where it should be.

This recognition is not ours alone. It belongs to every staff member who shows up, follows through, and genuinely cares about the people they support. It belongs to every participant who has trusted us to walk alongside them, and every family who chose us when they had options.

You are the reason this means something.

We are proud. And we are just getting started.

It is Mental Health Week, and this Wednesday MiPlace Hub is opening its doors to the wider Darwin community.

Come and meet our team, have a look around the Hub, and stay for a free BBQ lunch and live music. We will also be announcing the winners of Colour Hunting NT, our Territory wide photo competition.

We're proud to share that TRACKS Care was a finalist in the Inclusive Communities Award at the 2026 NT Disability Inclusion Awards and received a Highly Commended recognition.

Our work is about helping people with disability feel connected to their community, their culture and each other. This recognition belongs to the people we support, and to the families and communities who trust us to walk alongside them.

Our Walking Together men's group also received a special mention on the night. The men lead this group. They turn up, they back each other, and they show us every week what inclusion looks like when it's done properly.

Thank you to our incredible team of support workers and staff who do this work with care, respect and commitment every day.

Thank you also to the Northern Territory Government, Office of Disability, Department of People, Sport and Culture for these awards, which shine a light on work that often goes unseen.

A special thank you to Somerville Community Services, sponsor of the Inclusive Communities Award, for supporting the recognition of inclusive communities across the Territory.

Tracks Care has been named a finalist for the Inclusive Communities Award in the 2026 Northern Territory Disability Inclusion Awards.

The award recognises work that improves community participation and inclusion for Territorians with disability. Our nomination points to the Walking Together Program, which supports Aboriginal men with disability to connect with each other, build a sense of belonging, and engage with their NDIS supports, culture and community.

To the men who walk with us, and to the team who turn up week in, week out, this one belongs to you.

Winners are announced at Parliament House on Friday 25 September.
