• ADINA MOSQUE
Bengal Sultanate 1373-1375 AD
Built by Sultan Sikandar Shah of the Bengal Sultanate between 1373–1375 AD. It was once the largest mosque in the entire Indian subcontinent. Features a massive open courtyard and a huge hypostyle prayer hall with hundreds of pillars and 387 domes. Inspired by the Umayyad Mosque of Damascus.
The tomb of Sultan Sikandar Shah is located inside. It is a magnificent example of Bengal Sultanate architecture!
