Tonight as the sun set in Ashcroft, Members from both Cache Creek Fire Department and Ashcroft Fire Rescue along with close friends of both departments did the Ashcroft Ascent in Remembrance of all the lives lost on this day 25 years ago. We also honor the lives lost and continue to be lost due to illness such as cancer linked to carcinogens found in the debris field of the World Trade Center. We also remember flight 93 and flight 77. Please know that our hearts are with all families and people that have been and continue to be affected by this tragedy. We remember you and will never forget.

Just a reminder, this only applies to the Village of Ashcroft. We will be reassessing towards the end of September. Until then we thank you for your patience. Now go out and enjoy that fresh air!

Ashcroft remains on a campfire ban a little longer. The Village in collaboration with the Fire Chief will advise when the ban is lifted. Thank you four your understanding and cooperation.
