🚫 THE DANGERS OF "GHOST CONSULTANTS": A 5-YEAR BAN THAT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED 🚫
We have a heartbreaking but critical cautionary tale to share today. This is a harsh reminder of why who you hire to handle your Canadian immigration matters can quite literally make or break your future.
📉 The Timeline of a Disaster:
January 2026: The client hired an unlicensed, unauthorized "ghost consultant" in China to apply for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) from China.
February 2026: IRCC issued a Procedural Fairness Letter (PFL) because a previous U.S. visa refusal was hidden/not disclosed on the application.(disclosed to ghost consultant by client but not consultant did not disclose in the application form)
The Cover-Up: The ghost consultant had no idea how to legally and professionally respond to a PFL. Instead of telling the truth, they completely hid the letter from the client and left it unanswered.
May 2026: Because the letter went ignored, IRCC officially issued the client a 5-YEAR BAN from Canada for misrepresentation.
⚠️ What is a "Ghost Consultant"?
A ghost consultant is someone who charges you money to fill out and submit your immigration forms, but refuses to sign the application as your representative. They operate in the shadows, leaving your name as the sole person responsible. If they make a mistake, lie, or ignore an IRCC letter, you take 100% of the blame and face the consequences.
💡 Crucial Takeaways for Applicants:
Never Hide Refusals: IRCC shares data with the US, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. They will find out about your visa history. A past refusal does not mean an automatic rejection for Canada, but lying about it absolutely guarantees a ban.
A PFL is Your Last Chance: A Procedural Fairness Letter is a serious legal notice. If handled immediately by a licensed professional, a misrepresentation allegation can often be successfully argued or mitigated.
Verify Your Representative: Only lawyers in good standing with a Canadian provincial law society or Consultants registered with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) are legally authorized to represent you.
Don't let a "ghost" haunt your future. Protect your dreams and your identity by working only with legitimate, licensed professionals.
