Not every security story is about stopping an incident or making an arrest. Sometimes, the moments that leave the biggest impact are the ones rooted in compassion and humanity, which is exactly why we’re recognizing Jasmeet as one of our recent iBelieve Award recipients. 💙

Recently, Jasmeet encountered an individual who had taken food from a hot bar without payment. After speaking with the individual, he learned they were experiencing difficult circumstances and had not eaten in several days.

Using discretion, empathy, and professionalism, Jasmeet chose not to escalate the situation and instead provided a verbal warning. He then personally paid for the meal himself to ensure the store did not experience a loss.

In an industry often focused on enforcement, Jasmeet reminded us that making people feel safe can also mean showing humanity, understanding, and care during someone’s difficult moment.

This year, our Westguard team was proud to support the annual YMCA Superhero Kids Walk in Gastown Vancouver—a long-standing community event that brings together local children, families, and educators for a fun-filled day of connection and celebration.

Last week, Securiguard had the honour of attending the 28th Annual Chief of Police Dinner in support of Toronto Crime Stoppers.

Our team came together for Smile Cookie Day with Tim Hortons, where every cookie supports local charities and community organizations.

Since its start in 1996, the Smile Cookie campaign has raised over $150 million, supporting hospitals, food banks, schools, and community groups across Canada and the U.S. Last year alone, $22.6 million was raised in support of more than 600 organizations.
