Coach Yolly Soriano 🙏 By God’s grace, I’m still here. Still going. Still growing. I believe in the power of positivity, growth, and faith.

I remember walking to the bus stop, and it was freezing cold and lots of snow and quietly telling myself…

“One day, I won’t have to do this forever.”

At that time, I didn’t know HOW my life would change.

I didn’t know what opportunity would come.

I just knew deep inside that I wanted something different for my future.

For years, hard work was simply part of my life.

I would leave home early in the morning, sometimes late in the afternoon take the bus and SkyTrain for almost an hour to Vancouver for my part-time housekeeping job—while also working my full-time job in Surrey.

Then after a long day, another commute back home.

Sometimes it felt like my whole life was:

Work. Commute. Work again. Go home. Repeat.

And like many hardworking parents and immigrants, I did what I had to do.

I worked hard because I had responsibilities.

I wanted to provide for my children.

I wanted to build a better life in Canada.

I wanted stability.

And as the years passed, another thought became stronger:

“What about my future? What about retirement?”

Because I realized I couldn’t keep depending only on how many hours my body could work.

There are only 24 hours in a day.

And no matter how hardworking we are, there comes a point when we have to ask ourselves:

“Do I want to keep trading all my time for money?”

My children are adults now.

They have their own lives, dreams and achievements.

And seeing the milestones they are reaching today reminds me how quickly time passes.

It made me realize something even more deeply:

Money can be earned again.
But time with the people we love can never be returned.

That’s one reason I started looking for another option.

Then, by God’s grace, I came across an online business.

Was I skeptical?

Of course.

Was I scared?

Yes.

Was I tech-savvy?

Definitely not! 😂

I was already in my 50s.

I had a full-time job.

I had responsibilities.

And I could have easily told myself:

“Maybe I’m too old to start something new.”

But instead, I asked myself another question:

“What happens if I don’t try?”

What will my life look like a few years from now if I keep doing exactly the same thing?

That question stayed with me.

So I decided to learn.

Slowly.

One step at a time.

I didn’t know everything when I started—and I still continue learning today.

But this journey gave me something important:

Another option.

An option I can build around my life.

An option I can work on from home or wherever I am.

An option that allows me to learn new skills while still working toward my future.

And most importantly, it reminded me that it is never too late to start again.

Today, my goal isn’t just about making more money.

It’s about creating more choice.

Choice over my time.

Choice over how I prepare for retirement.

Choice to be present for the people who matter most.

Choice to build something without giving up the life I’m trying to enjoy.

Because working hard is something I’ve done almost my whole life.

But now, I’m also learning to work toward freedom—not just another paycheck.

So to every hardworking mom, dad, nanny, caregiver, housekeeper, cleaner, salesperson, immigrant, or anyone working long hours just to keep everything going…

Ask yourself:

If nothing changes, where will you be 3 years from now?

Sometimes the biggest risk isn’t trying something new.

Sometimes the biggest risk is staying in the same place and wondering later…

“What if I had started?”

I’m grateful I gave myself permission to try. ❤️🙏

Promise yourself that no matter how hard life gets, you will keep going.

Keep believing. Keep learning. Keep moving forward. Your story is still being written. 🙏✨

My Journey, My Why

From Mindanao to Hong Kong, and eventually to Canada—I’ve worked different jobs, faced many challenges, and kept going because I wanted a better future for my family.

But at 58, I realized I also needed to start thinking about my own future.

That’s when I became open to learning something new—an online business that I can build alongside my work, at my own pace.

I’m still learning. I’m still growing. But I’m grateful I had the courage to start. ❤️

If you’re also at a point in your life where you’re asking, “Is there another way?”—maybe it’s time to explore what’s possible.

No pressure. Just start with learning.
Send me a message if you’d like to know what I discovered. 💛
