🧶🚗 I’m starting to think this Vancouver Island road trip was secretly just an excuse to visit yarn shops! 😂

Next stop: Wool & Waves in Cumberland, BC — the cutest little shop filled with gorgeous yarn and all kinds of fibre-y temptation. 😍

I mean… you can’t expect me to see a yarn shop and NOT go in. That would just be rude. 😂

At this point, I’m not sightseeing… I’m YARN-seeing! 🧶🤣

☕️🇨🇦 Ohhh Canada!

Road trip rule #1: When you see a Timmy’s, you stop. 😂☕️

And apparently when I stop, I shop too. 🤷‍♀️🤣

Found Tim Hortons Cappuccino Iced Coffee Syrup — HAD to try it! ☕️🧊 Then spotted this ridiculously cute Halloween mummy tumbler that GLOWS IN THE DARK 👻🎃… so clearly that had to come along for the ride too!

But the most Canadian moment of all? 🇨🇦🏒 This incredible Maple Leaf made entirely from hockey sticks! Seriously… hockey sticks + maple leaf + Tim Hortons. We may have reached maximum Canadian. 😂🇨🇦

Now I just need someone to hand me a toque and say “sorry” for absolutely no reason. 🤣

🇨🇦☕️ Road Trip = Timmy’s Stop!

Is it even a Canadian road trip if you don’t stop at Timmy’s at least once… or twice?! 😂☕️

Of course we had to make a pit stop at Tim Hortons, and naturally I found a couple of things I needed to bring home with me. 🤣

☕️ Tim Hortons Cappuccino Iced Coffee Syrup — Umm… YES PLEASE! I had no idea they sold this, so obviously it came home with me.

🎃 The cutest Halloween mummy tumbler — and it GLOWS IN THE DARK! 👻 I mean, how was I supposed to leave that behind?!

🏒 And we absolutely loved this amazing Maple Leaf made out of hockey sticks hanging on the wall. Could there possibly be a more Canadian piece of artwork?! 🇨🇦❤️

Coffee, hockey and a maple leaf… I think we officially checked all the Canadian road-trip boxes. 😂

🚨 OUT OF OFFICE: WE’VE KIDNAPPED HOLLIE! 🚨

From October 5–9, Hollie and I are breaking out of the office and hitting the road for a little Vancouver Island sales adventure! 🚗⛴️

After approximately 17 YEARS of being the friendly voice on the other end of the phone, Hollie is finally getting to leave the warehouse and meet some of our customers face-to-face! 😂

That’s right… the customers who have known her voice for all these years will finally get to put a face to the voice. We’re pretty sure she’s excited. We’re mostly sure she’s coming back. 😉

Of course, no Vancouver Island trip would be complete without a few very important stops along the way:
🍪 The Crazy Cookie House — because sales trips require snacks. It’s basically business law.
🛒 The Market Garden — quite possibly the MOST AMAZING grocery store EVER! And if you didn’t know… it’s actually a house that was renovated into a grocery store! Each room is a different section of the store. Seriously. How cool is that?!

So while we’re out there visiting customers, making new connections, eating cookies and wandering through an incredibly cool grocery-store-house, we’ll both be away from the office October 5–9.

Hollie will be back in the office October 13. 🎉

Me? Not so fast. 😏
I’ve decided to take take off October 13 for a very important reason…

🦃 THANKSGIVING TURKEY RECOVERY. 🦃

Because after a long sales trip, Thanksgiving dinner, copious amounts of turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy and whatever else ends up on my plate, I feel it’s only responsible to allow myself a full day to recover. 😂

So I’ll be back October 14, hopefully well-rested, fully recovered, and ready to pretend I didn’t eat my body weight in Thanksgiving dinner.
Until then, please be patient with the rest of the crew while we’re off making memories — and please don’t ask where Hollie is.

She’s been released from warehouse duty. 😂
