From contaminated soil to sustainable reuse solutions. 🌱

KBL Environmental’s Soil Treatment Facilities (STFs) are purpose-built to accept and treat contaminated soils across Northern and Western Canada, operating under strict regulatory standards to ensure safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible processing. 🏗️🌍

By treating soils locally, we provide cost-effective alternatives to long-haul disposal while reducing transportation impacts and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. ♻️🌿

Through a structured profiling and analytical process, soils are carefully assessed, treated, and prepared for beneficial reuse such as landfill cover and other approved applications that support circular economy principles.

Rapid response when environmental safety is on the line. 🚨🌍

KBL Environmental and our network of trained subcontractors are prepared to respond to environmental releases that pose a risk to people, property, or the environment. Our hazardous materials technicians are strategically positioned with specialized equipment to ensure fast and effective emergency deployment when every second counts. ⚙️🧯

From initial assessment to containment, recovery, and remediation, we work closely with clients and local authorities to stop the release, manage impacted materials, and restore site conditions safely and efficiently. 📋♻️

We also provide complete reporting and documentation to support regulatory compliance and incident closure. 🌿✨

KBL is looking forward to attending the 2026 Arctic Development Expo in Inuvik, NT, from June 16–18.

As Canada’s North continues to grow and evolve, collaboration between industry, Indigenous communities, government, and environmental leaders remains critical to supporting responsible northern development.

KBL brings extensive experience supporting remote and complex projects across Northern Canada through:
• Environmental remediation
• Waste management and logistics
• Water treatment
• Soil treatment facilities
• Environmental monitoring and compliance support

With deep roots in the North, our team understands the unique operational, environmental, and logistical challenges that come with working in remote regions.

If you’re attending the Expo, connect with Ryan Gallup and Alex Seyforth onsite — we look forward to discussing practical solutions that support northern infrastructure, mining, industrial, and community projects.

🌱 Sustainable operations don’t happen by chance—they’re built on systems, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Organizations today face increasing pressure to meet regulatory requirements, manage environmental risks, and demonstrate their commitment to ESG goals. One of the most effective tools for achieving this is a well-designed **Environmental Management System (EMS).**

In our latest blog, we explore how an EMS helps organizations:

✔ Identify and manage environmental risks
✔ Improve regulatory compliance
✔ Increase operational efficiency
✔ Support sustainability and ESG objectives
✔ Foster a culture of continuous improvement

At KBL, we believe successful environmental management goes beyond compliance. It’s about creating practical, long-term solutions that support responsible operations and environmental stewardship—values that are at the core of everything we do.

Delivering complex landfill gas infrastructure with precision, scale, and environmental care. 🌍⚙️

KBL Environmental was selected by the City of Edmonton for the Clover Bar Class II Landfill LFG Collection System project, supporting the supply, construction, installation, and commissioning of a critical landfill gas and leachate management system. 🏗️🌱

The project included extensive HDPE piping installation, extraction wells, and full site commissioning to replace aging infrastructure and support future system upgrades.

Spanning over 25 km of piping and deep extraction well installation, the project required advanced technical ex*****on in challenging subsurface conditions, while carefully managing environmental sensitivities on site. ♻️📊 Despite complex drilling and operational challenges, the system was delivered successfully with strong performance outcomes and enhanced site restoration.
