First Day Photo!

After almost 10 years of owning Next Level Consulting I have decided to step back from helping corporate clients.
I am extremely excited to share that I have accepted a full time position with Foodbanks Alberta!

Today, is my first day as the Alberta Member Services Manager. In short, I support all of the 113 Food banks throughout Alberta, as they work to decrease food insecurity in their communities. This BC born and bred gal is about to get an upfront and personal look at Alberta’s backroads, rural roads, and wheat fields!
When I saw this job description for this position, I literally and audibly said “That’s me!” I truly believe that I have spent the last 25 years of my life working in business and the NFP sector in preparation for THIS opportunity!

What happens to NEXT LEVEL Consulting? As I mentioned above, I have stepped back from working with Corporate clients, but I will still work with Not-for-Profits outside of my FT role.
In this capacity I will assist them with their Governance Training and Strategic Planning. I have a HUGE passion for helping NFP’s and I believe they are often where we find community, connection, and for me, it’s where I have found a great deal of purpose!

Thank you for your encouragement and support all these years and here’s to new adventures and travels!

Celebrating women can look different for everyone. THIS YEAR I am spending with a group of young women who are working hard to be there for each other!

These young women are already showing the qualities of a woman who can change the environment she is in, impact the world, and where ever their community is, they WILL be there for others.

There are millions of women who do not have the opportunities that this team does. They know it, and they will not squander their opportunity to impact those around them. Sport has brought them together but it has given them so much more beyond the court.

Today, on International Women’s Day I celebrate a group of young women I GET TO be around. Future Mentors, Leaders, Nurturers, and Includers who will bring other women with them and speak for those without a voice! This year on IWD I celebrate the future of women and the potential they have if we, RIGHT NOW invest in them and remind them just how amazing they are!

I knew her when she wanted to do business at her Next Level!
I knew her when she knew community could look different!
I knew her when she knew connection mattered-even at work!
I knew her when she had a lightbulb moment💡
I knew her when she had a dream.
I knew her when she turned a dream into a plan and I got a sneak peek on the plan.
I knew her when took a risk and that risk turned into more hard work than she could ever of imagined!
I knew her when a pandemic turned her world upside down.
I knew her when she pushed through fears and stress because she believed COworking wasn’t a radical idea!

If you have been lucky enough to watch Amber and her The Light House Cowork journey, than you have watched one of the strongest people exemplify resilience and guts. Both are necessary if you’re hoping to take a run at entrepreneurship!

Two weeks ago we travelled to Fort Macleod to help our Not for Profit client build their new strategic plan.

Helping a build a 5 year plan for their organization helps set them up with clear direction for their Administration team and the Board of Directors. It’s an agreed upon ROAD MAP to their future.
