Newly built in Bowmanville, Ontario. This large deck has our favourite combination of features.

HIDEAWAY privacy walls on both ends.
Regal ideas aluminum railings with glass panels on the deck, pickets on the stairs.
And PVC decking from TimberTech from the Landmark collection in the colour American Walnut.

Hideaway and Regal Ideas are such a nice combination!

If this was your deck, what furniture would you put on it?

We apply joist tape to the tops of our deck joists, beams and blocking. We use Nichigo Gtape. In our experience it's the best.

Installing deck fascia boards solo. Clamps are your friend.

Cutting perfect stair skirts is easy with a flush-trim router bit. The bits it can't reach (near ground etc) just finish with a multi-tool (oscillating tool).

Slow motion drilling through brick for a deck ledger.
In my area we don't attach to the brick veneer but we ARE allowed to bolt THROUGH it into the solid rimboard of the floor structure.
