Running our own leather shop/haberdashery was not part of the plan, it just kinda happened." ~ Joey and Megan
4 years ago, Joey ordered a leather craft tool set on Amazon to try and build Megan a custom leather bag. After countless Youtube videos and determination, he succeeded. It was just to pass the time. Although, everything happens for a reason. They left the West Coast in search of a simpl
e off grid life on the East Coast. After many roadblocks, the last property on their list was the "keeper". 10 acres off grid in rural Nova Scotia. After several months of renovations, they successfully finished their house. Their original plan was to keep the construction momentum going by building tiny homes using sustainable resources like hempcrete, but associated cost and time of doing so wasn't very appealing. On a cold November day, Joey got a request from a friend. "Can you make me a belt?" the man said. He responded with " I sure can". This was the beginning of EOH Leathercraft. As the orders progressed, Megan left her full time job to learn the ropes and together they built EOH Leathercraft together. With a successful market season under wrap, they anticipated to recreate the same result the following summer. Yet, they were given an opportunity and with the wonderful support of their community, perseverance and determination, EOH Leathercraft has gone from a table at the market to a "brick and mortar" retail/ online shop. We have a beautiful location with neighbours we adore and a brewery we love. All we can do is try our best to be our best. Stay tuned to see what comes next as "Nothing is impossible". Cheers,
Joey and Megan
