EOH Leathercraft

EOH Leathercraft End of Heavy is the purveyor of fine leather crafted goods that are hand stitched and last forever "Nothing is impossible. Yet, it was never for money.

Running our own leather shop/haberdashery was not part of the plan, it just kinda happened." ~ Joey and Megan

4 years ago, Joey ordered a leather craft tool set on Amazon to try and build Megan a custom leather bag. After countless Youtube videos and determination, he succeeded. It was just to pass the time. Although, everything happens for a reason. They left the West Coast in search of a simpl

e off grid life on the East Coast. After many roadblocks, the last property on their list was the "keeper". 10 acres off grid in rural Nova Scotia. After several months of renovations, they successfully finished their house. Their original plan was to keep the construction momentum going by building tiny homes using sustainable resources like hempcrete, but associated cost and time of doing so wasn't very appealing. On a cold November day, Joey got a request from a friend. "Can you make me a belt?" the man said. He responded with " I sure can". This was the beginning of EOH Leathercraft. As the orders progressed, Megan left her full time job to learn the ropes and together they built EOH Leathercraft together. With a successful market season under wrap, they anticipated to recreate the same result the following summer. Yet, they were given an opportunity and with the wonderful support of their community, perseverance and determination, EOH Leathercraft has gone from a table at the market to a "brick and mortar" retail/ online shop. We have a beautiful location with neighbours we adore and a brewery we love. All we can do is try our best to be our best. Stay tuned to see what comes next as "Nothing is impossible". Cheers,

Joey and Megan

LEATHER SUPPLIER SHOUTOUT!!!

We want to give a big thank you to OA Leather for being one of the best leather supply shops in Canada.

When we were first teaching ourselves this craft, their in depth videos of leather they offered (and the way they break down what actually matters) helped us skip a ton of trial and error. Honestly, without that kind of knowledge sharing, we'd still be learning the basics.

If you're a maker, or you're just curious about what goes into quality leather, they're worth following.

A few left. Available until July 1. Come find us under the white EOH canopy.

The first belt we ever made had uneven holes, a buckle that sat crooked, and stitching we're glad nobody could see clearly in photos.

We were proud of it anyway β€” because it existed, and it hadn't existed before.

That's the thing about learning something by doing it: you measure progress not against some external standard, but against your last attempt. Every piece we make now is better than the last. That's the only metric that matters.

Four years in, we still feel that. The work keeps teaching us. We keep showing up.

If you've ever wondered whether self-taught is "as good" β€” we'd say: come find us at the market and hold the work. That's the only answer worth giving.

Father's Day is coming up this Sunday, and if you're still looking for the right gift β€” we've got you. πŸ™Œ

A handmade leather belt isn't just a gift. It's the kind of thing that gets better every single year. Develops character. Gets broken in just right. And it'll outlast anything you'd find at the mall.

Ours are cut from 8oz water buffalo leather β€” the real stuff β€” and available in 1ΒΌ" or 1Β½" widths in brown, grey, and black. Solid brass or stainless steel hardware. And every belt is built with Chicago screws, so he can swap the buckle whenever he feels like it. Backed by a lifetime guarantee, because we mean it.

This weekend only, all belts are 10% off β€” and we'll be at two markets:

πŸ“ Saturday, June 20 β€” Penticton Market
πŸ“ Sunday, June 21 β€” Oliver Market (Father's Day itself!)

Come see them in person, feel the leather, and grab something he'll actually use for decades. See you out there!

We are proud to be Canadian-made. That's not a marketing line for us β€” it's every piece of leather we cut, every thread we pull, every edge we burnish right here in Okanagan Falls, BC.

So this Canada Day, we made something to celebrate that.

Introducing our limited Canada Day collection: bifold wallets and passport holders air-brushed to represent the Canadian Flag- a symbol of our nation’s strength, beauty, and enduring spirit. This collection is a heartfelt tribute to Canada and everything we stand for. Built to last, these wallets and passport holders are perfect for carrying a piece of home wherever your adventures take you.

These are a limited run and available until July 1. Once they're gone, they're gone β€” we have no plans to make more.

Handcrafted by a husband and wife team in Okanagan Falls, BC.

Penticton Farmers' Market this Saturday β€” come say hello.

We'll be set up from 8:30am to 1:00pm under the EOH tent with the full display out. Bags, belts, wallets, foraging pouches, passport holders, and leather care products, all handcrafted by a husband and wife team in Okanagan Falls.

If you've got a leather piece that needs some love, we do repairs and restoration right out of the booth. Doesn't have to be something we made β€” if it's leather and it's worth saving, bring it in and we'll tell you what's possible.

See you at the market.

People ask us what it's like to do this every day.

Honestly? It's quiet. There's a focus that comes from working with your hands β€” a kind of presence that's hard to describe until you've felt it. The work demands your attention. The leather doesn't tolerate distraction. You're either in it or you're making mistakes.

Some days it's pure flow β€” pieces come together, everything lines up, you look at what you made and feel something real. Other days it's slow and frustrating, and you redo something three times before it's right.

But even the frustrating days have something to them. You're making something. Something that didn't exist before, and that will still exist long after today.

That's why we keep showing up.
