The AGM this evening was attended by 27 members. Gerry Nuttall became president unopposed subsequent to W***y Martin's resignation, citing personal reasons. The Vice President position is currently unoccupied owing to insufficient nominees. Billie Helps will fulfill the treasurer role until November 15, Margaret Matthews will be stepping down as Secretary January 15. Three newcomers have joined the ranks as Directors at large. Mike Clay, Bill Lawrie,
Taimi McMillan, Cathy Nichols have stepped down as directors at Large for the Club. Thank you to all the Activity Leaders who lead and organize activities for the members. A report is available for those interested in the past year’s group activities.

Posting for Oct 3/24. Apologies for late posting due to technical difficulties. Please note AGM is Thursday Oct 10 at 630 pm. There will be an election of the new Board for 2025. There are no extraordinary resolutions. **We are going to change to a 0930 registration time for the events. The completion of the preregistration forms is helping a great deal and avoids having people standing in line to register. You are called up when your number is called to register and pay. We have a still got seats for Elvis for sale. Please note that you will need to provide your date of birth and an emergency name and phone number to comply with the City of Port Moody registration requirements. One drink will be included with your $25 entry. Please submit your Wednesday take out order by Sunday at 5 pm.

When sending an email please include the subject of your email as opposed to just responding to the Club email. By including your subject, (takeout order, tickets to play, bus trip) we can direct the email much more efficiently to the person handling that issue. Otherwise we have to open every email with the subject : Club Newsletter for ….” In order to see what it is you are asking for. Telling us you “ want one” means we need to check back with you what exactly you want one of …. Meal? ticket?. It would help the volunteers to get through the emails faster and easier. Your cooperation would be greatly appreciated.

Monday Sept 30, the Club will be closed in order to allow our staff and members to pursue further understanding of the Indigenous experience and acknowledge the work of the Truth and Reconciliation commission.
