Congratulations Coen!
🌟 Skating Community Excellence Spotlight: CanSkate 🌟
We're continuing to celebrate some of the wonderful nominees from last season's Skating Community Excellence Awards!
⛸️ Meet Coen Wilson and Madilynn Rattai, two of our CanSkate Excellence nominees!
⭐ Coen Wilson was recognized for his fearless enthusiasm, determination and genuine love for skating. Despite being new to his club last season, he jumped right in, taking on challenges with a smile and encouraging those around him. As he worked toward mastering his Stage 6 skills, Coen also became a wonderful role model for younger skaters, often helping them and celebrating their successes.
His CanSkate coach shared: "He loves trying new things and doesn't get discouraged when something is hard. It's great fun to coach him."
⭐ Madilynn Rattai was recognized for her incredible passion, dedication and joy for skating! Since beginning CanSkate in 2023, she has participated in multiple sessions and competitions, always eager to learn and improve. Her love for the sport extends beyond the rink, from practising on outdoor ice to dreaming of skating on the big stage one day.
Madilynn once proudly declared that she was "born to be a figure skater," and her enthusiasm certainly shows it!
👏 Thank you, Coen and Madilynn, for reminding us what CanSkate is all about: learning, growing, encouraging others and, most importantly, loving every moment on the ice! ⛸️
