Ahead of the World Town Planning Day conference planned for November 6th, 2026, the American Planning Association and their Global Planners Network Partners at the Canadian Institute of Planners have put out a call for session proposals.
Session proposals must be submitted to the American Planning Association by Monday, September 21st, 2026.

This year’s theme for World Planning Day is “Navigating Change to Shape Better Futures!”: At a time of rapid technological transformation, inequities and housing, health, and climate change challenges, planning and collaboration is vital. By working together and across sectors, planners, communities, and partners address change to create places that are inclusive, resilient, and support the well-being of all while helping to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the New Urban Agenda (NUA).
